  • Nice to see some kit from the US we still have some semaphore signalson remote lines but most UK rail ones are mechanical with kerosene lamps and pyrometers to detect illimination I never could understand if you have power just have colour light signals and do away with the mechanics. our position lights (common term here is ground signal or dod) only have two indications clear or on and normally a red on with a white pivot & off lamp.

    still have NX panels but mostly SSI VDU set ups

    The equipment in this video was donated to the historical society so they could place it in their museum.

    The gentleman in the video explains that this equipment was replaced by more sophisticated and modern signaling devices. Although, I am sure that there exists such equipment still eventually to be replaced.

  • Took this 13 July when I was in marrion. I have train videos not yet ready to post but will soon. I knew Peter when I was a pastor in Richwood. It was cool to see him again. He really knows his stuff.
