Good to see you did some post production to your vids. I like that. And was this the subashiri route? I have only climbed in early july, so there was a lot of snow still. It also looks like the north side route, cant remember the name. You have good pics of the top. "More dirt and rock, woooo!"... So true. I didnt stay long on the top.
We climbed Mt. Fuji in 1970 and watched the most beautiful sunrise of my life to date! Everyone stopped to watch and pray! That day a wind storm (90 MPH) kicked in and we went down the lava bed as fast as we could! It was AMAZING! Thanks Dad! Dean Synan
Nicely done. I've been to Japan twice but have never climbed Mr. Fuji. I did see it from the bullet train a couple of times, though. I'd like to go back one summer and finally climb it. I bet it's an awesome experience.
Wow, what an experience. Never climbed it, but on a clear day, many years ago, I could see Mt. Fuji in the distance as I walked to kindergarten on the base where my family lived.
My Dad was stationed at Yokosuka and we lived in housing at a place called Nagai Heights (I wonder if it's still there?). It seemed like it was a long way Yokosuka, but I was only 5 so I don't know how good my concept of distance was then.
Awesome Video. I just climbed it just over two weeks ago, and found it to be one of the most incredible experiences and accomplishments of my life. I'll be back again, that is for sure.
My husband and I climbed Mt. Fuji in July 2006 and enjoyed a spectacular sunrise from the summit. It was an amazing experience, well worth the effort (and blisters).
