I know several people at my school who were in accidents because of the weather. In addition, everyone was more than 30 min late because traffic was so backed up because of the weather. The kid had a right to complain.

I saw on the news that some of the boundaries are being changed for some of the FCPS and wondered if thats the meetings she is referring to. I wouldnt want my kids to attend classes at a school that receives lower scores either, who would? This isn't really about if school should have been canceled or about Kori harassing a public official. This is about the lady's response. Kori did not call complaining about canceling school. He was simply asking about the specific criteria that are taken into consideration when deciding to cancel school. He had been trying to contact Tistadt at work for a month before this, getting no response. Even Tistadt said on the local news that the message Kori left was not disrespectful.
I hated school when I was young, absolutely hated it. I never would have called a teacher or administrator to complain about ANYTHING. My how times have changed. I saw on the news that some of the boundaries are being changed for some of the FCPS and wondered if thats the meetings she is referring to. I wouldnt want my kids to attend classes at a school that receives lower scores either, who would? Is the parents objecting to the boundary change the reason she calles the students "snotty-nosed little brats"? I wondered why she included all the other FCPS students, maybe thats why!

He may believe that he is old enough to make comments as he had, but he is to immature to realize the matter of the fact when it comes to the fact that there are adults that have his best interest in mind. This isn't really about if school should have been canceled or about Kori harassing a public official. This is about the lady's response. Kori did not call complaining about canceling school. He was simply asking about the specific criteria that are taken into consideration when deciding to cancel school. He had been trying to contact Tistadt at work for a month before this, getting no response. Even Tistadt said on the local news that the message Kori left was not disrespectful.

I hated school when I was young, absolutely hated it. I never would have called a teacher or administrator to complain about ANYTHING. My how times have changed. Hopefully this child will put his energy and thoughts to accomplishing more than just getting another day off from school. He needs to grow up. Graduation is just a few months away. An employer won't tolerate such behavior from an employee and in college it won't matter what he wants either. His parents must be soooo proud (sarc).

Why cast blame solely on the wife.. Sure they should have had a unlisted number, but then again Kori's parents are the ones whom had standing to complain, not some minor child. Kori is however going to school to learn things such as respect, etiquette and what proper channels are. The County provides proper means to contact their officials and it isnt their home telephone numbers.

I was born and raised in St. Paul, MN and do you know how many "snows days" I got in 16 years of school (including college)? 1!!! Due to the Halloween snow storm in 1989 when we received 2 FEET of snow in 1 night. 3 inches of snow is nothing.
