  • What is the greatest lie every created? What is the most vicious obscenity ever perpetrated on mankind? Slavery? The Holocaust? Dictatorship? No. It's the tool with which all that wickedness is built: altruism. Whenever anyone wants others to do their work, they call upon their altruism. Never mind your own needs, they say, think of the needs of... of whoever."

  • first of all thanks. This is probably the best all-around game i've ever played and the soundtrack is a big part, but unfortunately, your link is missing track 10.

  • good song

  • This one isn't on your mediafire!

  • when you leave tennenbaums safe house and this song plays. it is one of the saddest gaming experencies ive ever had

  • @pokercards101 totally agree. like the full realization that this really is your home.

  • This game pulls tears from your eyes. Not many games can do that. Truly, one of the best games.

  • If you liked this soundtrack, listen to my medleys and tell me what you think of them!

  • hey!! I can not download this, why?? D,= this is the one I wanted.....

  • *Atlas wants your help with his family.

    *Atlas' family 'dies'

*When you are dying by the hands of Fontaine

*Jack thinking of his dead father

*And watching your own kind (Big Daddy) being murdered

They seem to cue this when Jack is in depressing, chaotic moments in his mind.

  • Half-life 2 has a better engine. However, Bioshock has a superior narrative.

  • thank you for posting the link to download the soundtrack

  • Agreed, Half-Life 2 and all of the Half-Life series are the greatest games I've ever played, nothing else has been so engaging. That said, Bioshock came very close, and the writing was fantastic, environment was fantastic, gameplay was fantastic, and obviously the soundtrack, or I wouldn't be searching for it on youtube.

  • i know you must feel like the most unluckiest man in the world right now but maybe.. just maybe you can reach them in Neptunes bounty

  • This only play this when the players's mind is in diffrent places or is just stressed. It plays when Jack is torn up from just entering Rapture and wanting to find Atlas' family, then after Atlas' family is killed, and after you kill your own father.

  • @Gearslover01

Whoah, careful dude. You don't want to spoil it too much for the people who haven't played it yet.

  • still love this music

  • Atlas:THE SUB NOOO......Moira....Patrick...

Andrew Ryan:Who are you and why did you come here? your not CIA or KGB are you

  • @solidfreak123

    No, I think it went,

    "You ooze in like an assassin, then you try to escape like a thief. You're no CIA spook, who are you? Why have you come here? There are only 2 ways to deal with a secret: Uncover it, or eliminate it." Then again, I can't remember too much myself. -_-;

  • look at the new bioshock 2 launch trailer...a whole movie of that...i know i know DOOM tried that and motion sickness but i think thats the only way a bioshock movie would work

  • Bioshock movie has yet to be officially stated to release, but they are working on it. According to an article I read on gameinformer, The movie will be directed by the "Pirates of The Carribean' Director, and will feature the 'Gladiator' writer to do the script for it.

That sounds amazing, but they better do it right.

  • hell yeah but it cant be better then the game

  • @ken936 Actually, they've switched directors now. I don't know who the new director is though.

  • Oh really? hm. Well I was pretty satisfied with the pirates director, I hope they find an equal.

  • It's Juan Carlos Fresnadillo

  • Juan Carlos Fresnadillo is directing it now.

  • @ken936 No, mate. It's being produced by Gore Verbinsky, the director of the Pirates of the Carribean films, and directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, the man who made 28 weeks later.

  • Where can i get the sheet music for this? I can't find it anywhere.

  • @Sprite390 Yes, yes it does.

  • Aaaaaaaah, fuck Fontaine.

  • @fuzzytransmissionman You dont fuck fontain fontain fucks you

  • would you kindly rate this video 5 stars?

  • i was sad for atlas when he lost them. i looked at the bodies and thought "this game is tragic"

when i found sander cohen's audio tape "the wild bunny" i thought "this game fu@#s with your head"

after i put the genetic key in and all was revealed i thought "this game fu@#s with your emotions"

and then when the final boss died the way he did i thought "bioshock rocks on so many levels"

  • i looked at the bodies and they looked like splicers lol

  • i heard this music in the big daddy proving grounds when that big daddy was crushed.

  • @mexicansunlimited

(I take my hat off and stand in silence for the fallen Big Daddy)

  • Sadness... *CRY*

  • was a man sent to kill ? ... or a slave? ; A slave choses , a man obeys...

I cant get those words out of my head its just wonderful

  • "A man choses,a slave obeys" should be like this.

  • lol yea i messed up haha

  • well i can't get the phrase would you kindly out of my head

  • @anth0nychavez Would you kindly get that phrase out of your head

  • lol i kept reapeting them over and over

  • @ RafaelIM94 I think you mean "a MAN chooses, a SLAVE obeys' XD that makes no sense whatsover when you said it

  • @Jblac33

No, it did make sense, actually. The problem is that he didn't say it all of the way. Only from about middle to end.

  • Awesome ....but so sad the song

  • undoubtfully the best game ever, with the best soundtrack and voice acting. if they make a bioshock movie, they're walking on a thin line. it will either be very good, or terrible. i hope it is very good.

  • awesome

  • well I have heard of a movie but nothing else

  • @ArtsAndSkate4Life

Really? That's....kind of disappointing, really. I was hoping for it to be about before Rapture fell into chaos, you know, during the big war. Sure, the multiplayer covers that, but not much.

  • and sorry about spelling mistakes i wrote it quick

  • Atlas is dead but Andrew Ryan is alive, the vita chambers were only able to be used be andrew ryans DNA, Jack was Andrew Ryans son so since Jack is Andrew ryans son he was able to regenerate because he has Andrew Ryans DNA because their blood related. Andrew Ryan lives just listen to the tapes one of them reviles this and this is the reason why spliccers dont respawn in the vita chamber.

  • "You ooze in like an assassin, and then you try to sneak out like a theif... you're no CIA spook- Who are you!? Why have you come here!? There is two ways to deal with a mystery... uncover it, or eliminate it..."

That beautifully delivered dialoge combined with the music is a tear jerker... and then hearing Atlas sob on the radio after is just heartbreaking. SPOILER ALERT! And even on your second playthrough, when you know Atlas is Fontaine, it still is some gripping stuff.

  • The first time it was sounded, when Atlas begs for Jack to save his familiy at Welcome to Rapture was also somewhat emotional, and when I played it, it really gave me some motivation.

And believe me, when I found out Atlas was *Spoiler alert* Fontaine, I was SO pissed off!

  • *SPOILERS* I know... fuck! There was nobody in the sub! And you killed Andrew Ryan- YOUR DAD! And you find that really he wasn't such a bad guy at all, just mislead; sad thing is that he knew you were his son, he was just so damned disapointed that you have became Atlas's slave, and you could not figure it out yourself. So he had you kill him.

The movie is definately going to be the Feel Good film of the Year.

  • @ProphetofWar

You know what sucks, though? The music that plays for that scene is very touching, and I want to know the name, but 2K didn't put it on their soundtrack. T.T

  • @ProphetofWar Even on your tenth playthrough it's still gripping.

  • @ProphetofWar Personally, hearing Atlas like that made me feel for him since he's pretty much lost everything at that point. But after doing it again and knowing the truth about him, I just wanted to punch him for being such a liar :l

  • greatest game ever....

  • yes it does...

  • this song plays when your about to enter the big daddy proving grounds

  • I believe this music plays in first part when the elevator crashes burning and man runs out at you. When you go in music plays and Atlas :@ says, "Right now it must seem like you are the most unluckiest man in the world but your the ONLY HOPE I HAVE OF saving my family..." [or something liek that] quality game. A man chooses....

  • "You enter like and assassin and then try to slither away like a slug. You're no CIA spoof are you? Who are you? Why have you came here? And who sent you?"

  • "There are only two ways of dealing with a mystery... solve it, or eliminate it,"

Heheh, I'm not sure if that's right :P

  • yeah i think that is lol

  • No it's "There are only two ways of dealing with a mystery...Cover it up or eliminate it."

  • "UNcover it, or eliminating it."

    That's what he said.

    Andrew Ryan... What a guy!

  • He is so REAL! Also, what did I say? I must of been tired. What I meant was:

    "Uncover it, or eliminate it."

Andrew Ryan is REAL, no one will doubt him. The doubters will die off.

  • Fucking doubters. I suppose they think you can paint a picture without soiling your smock...

  • Maira! Wee' lil Patrick!

Fontaine really had me goin :P

  • he hadnt to me

i spoiled myself the end before having the game. i never thought that i would own a ps3.

sorry if this doesnt is interesting to you, i wanted to post it

  • I love this game. I think I've played through it more then any other game. It seems, I find something new each time I play it.

  • One my first run on this game when I saw the sub blow up and heard this music I nearly cried the voice acting is so good in this game.

  • i know! i cried when i heard it too!

    So sorrowful and yet beautiful...

  • i hope they use this for the credits for the bioshock movie!

  • Well this is depressing

  • Rejoice, A Bioshock movie is being made, rejoice.

  • are you kidding me? REJOICE?

there's no way you can fit bioshock's story into a movie. i'm not saying it's bad, but the story centers around you, Jack will be a crap character unless the entire movie is filmed clover-field style.

some media was meant to experience the way it was made first and this is a perfect example. the stories made by irrational can not be made into a different form, end of story.

  • clover field style, nice idea.

  • this is my favorite. so beatiful yet sad but with the hope at the end of each sections.

  • I love this game so much. I played it 3 or 4 times. Can't wait for Bioshock 2!

  • Sad song.

  • bioshock is one of the best games i played on 360

  • hey i just wrote a book!

    lol...

  • Hey I have hl2, bioshock, and all 3 halos and they are all equally awesome games, putting the time of their releases into consideration. But don't judge halo just because you have never played it and only read a couple of reviews about it. Maybe you had to choose half-life and bioshock but leave out halo because you're on a tight budget. If so I'm sorry but don't dish out your hatred on the games you didn't buy.

  • Yeah,i went a bit over the top on that.i do like hl2 better than halo 3 though,it's an ok game

to me.But man there are so many 10 yr olds

and ppl that scream Hacker! when i kill em alot.

Some halo 3 players have TOTAL Ego Problems...

Thats why i Love the mute feature! Lol

  • Hey, I played Halo 3, didn't like it. It's not horrible or bad, just not too my tastes. At least I can make that judgement for actually taking the time, playing it through properly.

Also, don't call other people nerds when you yourself say things such as 'OMG' 'u' and 'lawl'. Please stop butchering the language and prettending like you're above other people.

  • thank god lol someone with common sense!

  • half-life 2 is better :P at least i can run hl2, but i cant run BioShock with my Intel Pentium 4 xD

  • No, no, no, BioShock is the best! =D

  • Unfortunately, I must agree. Oh well.

  • well hey, at least we found all where the big daddies come from.

  • @bodo635

    It's kind of weird.

    Bioshock was an amazing game that won awards, yet had an anticlimactic boss fight, and Bioshock 2, a game that was amazing, but not as much, and didn't win as many awards, had a very intense ending. Weird. O.o;

  • @Saalvatorio Bioshock is awesome and HL2 still i prefer Bioshockckckckckckckckckck :D

  • half life series are on my top 1 and 2 fps. this game is also mind blowing

  • @bodo635

Dude, you can't know that Half-life 2 is better than Bioshock if you haven't even PLAYED Bioshock. I highly recommend the game!

  • can someone plz tell me the name of the song that plays near the beginning of the game in the area that you pick up the first radio diary, the bar place, i don't think that song is in the soundtrack because i cant seem to find it.

  • I'm not sure.

  • if i didn't care

    the ink spots

  • this song plays at the beginning when u go up the elevator

  • Oh, it is. Nice catch.

  • @Creedv17

    Sadly, this seems to be a thing for 2K with the Bioshock Franchise. They make great soundtracks and they don't even put them on the disks. -_-;

  • @Creedv17 hello!! The name of that song is "wellcome to rapture"

  • This theme can make some bioshock fans feel sad when they first think that ryan killed atlas family. *in my point of view, since atlas was fake and their were no family*

  • Yeah.

  • got an email saying someone replied... when the video started playing i got the chills

just shows what an amazing soundtrack they have...

  • 100% agree

  • me to my favorite game of all time and one of the saddest

  • Bioshock is definitely one of those games that are thrilling, tragic, eerie, and emotional at the same time.

  • Too bad Atlas turned out to be that bastard.

  • I trusted him throughout the game, and then *Bam!*, he turns out to be the bad guy. =/

  • I know, what an asshole!

  • even though he was an asshole, it made all the better for the story

  • They basically had the same story twist for System Shock 2 as well.

Doesn't mean that Bioshock wasn't an excellent game.

  • i never played system shock 2

  • every1 got greedy and started killing each other with spliced-up mobs; electrocuting ppl with fuse boxes, cementing ppl and drowning them; makes killing those fat f***ing a**h*** splicers SO much more satisfying>:D

  • Lol i didnt notice until like my 3rd run of the game i saw 3 or 4 people similar to that of Fontaine they all looked the same on the radio playback i was blind to not notice till later, it was only when he said he went under a list of alias's

  • is this game, like, stereotyping pplXD? or is it just the same standard color for all the ppl u c in the radio and audio diaries? wonder about the splicers... wanna c their faces prematurely? just aim telekenesis at a splicer waering a mask and flick the button; instant kill; it pulls the mask off and shoots it at them for some of the best kills ever:D

  • When this music came on when the sub blew up I almost cried. This music is so moving.

  • I can't say that Bioshock is the best game I've played but everything on the art side of this game is just so bloody amazing.

  • its the beast game i ever played

  • I agree!

  • think sound track was really heart-warming.

It really went well with the part where

Atlas begs you to save his family....

I tried so hard to save them.....:(

  • lol when i played this i played really hard just to save atlas's family, but, it will never happen...

  • this track is really moving especially when you're playing the level and you see the cemomoration wall for all the people missing and dead in Rapture.

    This game is really something....

  • where is that?

  • As you walk out of Tenebaum's hide out with all the saved little sisters, you keep walking outside and it's right infront of this entrance you have to go through to free yourself from Fontaine's mind control

  • mass effect

  • First xbox game since halo to be great and have a moving soundtrack.

  • yep!

  • Empty Houses is the best name for this

    soundtrack
