@Sillyrobert255 The ROM file I had at the time when I checked this was a hacked version of the Famicom Disk System. It was hacked to make it work for emulators that open .nes files, but not .fds. For some reason, the hack messed the game up and Luigi had the same physics as Mario.

It doesn't matter now anyway, I got it right in Luigi's Brawl video.

did you super mario bros:the lost levels was first a japanese game released on the NES and it was supposed to be the real super mario bros. 2 wich is actually a copied version of a crappy japanese game called doki doki panic

also note that super mario bros. 2 is SMB:TLL in japan and a copied version of doki doki panic in all other countries

I know that Luigi (in most games) shoots fire just like Mario, but does anyone else wish that Luigi had a move referencing his Thunderhand ability from Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga?

luigi has most of his moves provide comic relief as such most of them are copied of mario anyways, plus his taunt couldnt have come from mario party 2 becuase he had this taunt since ssb 64, which was made BEFORE mario party 2, its simply coincidence

Actually Luigi's higher jumping height WAS in Japan's Super Mario Bros. 2. The Lost Levels version from Super Mario All-Stars is just a graphically-enhanced remake. It was Japanese SMB2 which first explored the differences between the brothers. The changing appearance of the twins happened as a result of animes & 'Doki Doki' SMB2 with Luigi mapped to fit the sprite of Doki Doki Panic's Mama.

its called the green missle. i guess nintendo juts made some move up for luigi's side b. luigi can sometimes be a comic relief so they kinda made a silly side b for him. u see mario flyin around like a missle? in brawl, sometimes if u fly into a wall with green missle, luigi gets stuck and has to pull himself out.

i notice a difference in luigi's looks in melee compared to brawl. In melee, Luigi looks kind of different. His face looks shorter and chubbier, and in brawl it looks skinnier and longer. By the way, his voice sounds different too :D

I think you happen to be ignoring the fact that Luigi's special jumping ability was derived from Super Mario Bros. 2 (Mario Madness, not the Lost Levels) which was released as Doki Doki Panic in Japan. All the characters in that game had unique physics, and Luigi's was he happened to be able to jump higher.

Green missile was actually in Superstar saga (super mario).. Though it was performed by him bending down like he does in melee and Mario bashing him with a hammer, but I'm pretty sure that's where it came from..

(I believe he does the green missile even if mario doesn't hit him though it will take alot less dmg)

luigis cool, but compared to mario in the smash bros game, he was practicly usless. his moves werent as effective, like his tornado attack, only punch as long as the opponent was touching him, mario's pulled them in and punced until the ataack was over. the floating fireballs made them practicly usless. and his power jump made him jump straight up insted of at an angle like mario, making it almost impossible to recover from a fall.

Super Mario Bros 2 was to hard for us stupid people. They localized doki doki panic and changed the character for mario themed ones. Years later when Super Mario All Stars we got to see "Super Mario Brothers The Lost Levels" and they got "Super Mario Bros USA". So yeah, we and them got both Super Mario Bros 2... of sorts.

a fun thing is that Luigi is Mama in Doki Doki panic
