if you go to palestine online store, and go to the kuffiyeh side bar,you can buy kuffiyehs there for like 25 bucks If my memory serves me right.made in the herbawi factory of palestine, west bank.Viva Palestine!
yaa shemaghs are greit....i personally go wit the kaffiyeh tho it is a bit bigger and of better quality...i also noticed that kaffiyehs anre just a bit thicker too much better for winter
I finally found out how much I need one of these right after I needed one lol. I went out for a weekend hike in the California desert and my neck is RED as a lobster. I tried to tie a bandana but It kept on scrunching up and offering minimal protection. I just bought one today. Oh well, live and learn or should I say live and BURN!!! lol
Shemaghs are really useful. Earlier I decided to make my own but with cotton ripstop fabric so that I can also use it as a furoshiki, which is a japanese type square cloth, used for gift wrapping. I, basically, use it for grocery shopping. Just showing the versatility of a shemagh.
One of these would be great for the BOB, it would be cool if they came in fleece, great for staying warm however not as useful for first aid rigging and stuff.
Dude on the left was funny at the end lol.

Just one piece of advice to anyone buying a Shemagh.
WASH it! Many times befor you wear it.
I say again...WASH it!
Epecially the ones of dark colours. If you dont and it
rains....all the colour will run off it and on to what ever your wearing.
Trust me...the colour will run.

Fleece: go to fabric store, get 1 yard of fleece (3 foot) = fleece shemagh
You will likely find that a fleece shemagh is too warm for most conditions.
