  • Does anybody know who the girl is?

  • No solo? Royally dissapointed.

  • @whoohaaXL Indeed

  • Tears For Fears were a super group in their day. They had meaningful lyrics to their songs, and surpassed the manufactured of bands.

Tears For Fears did have depth to their music. Music scholers if you ask me.

It's interesting to see this live footage and see just how good Tears For Fears sound live.

It might be rightful to call them music schloers.

  • Is it just me or does Roland look kind of like Jerry Seinfeld with his hair like that?

  • they dont make music like this any more.

  • I Love this song!

  • joy division legacy

  • Does anybody think that Roland Orzabal sounds kind of like Tony Hadley?

  • Did a session player bust the original solo near the end of this?

  • 0:00 jajaja

  • Comment removed

  • I really wanna hear Roland's guitar solo in this song live

  • are them boyfriends?

  • @TheDelPeloso no they R straight. lol..your thinkin of George Michael

  • @TheDelPeloso You mean are Curt and Roland gay? No! Curt and Roland are as straight as hatpins with wives and two children each.

  • when did Seinfeld sing for these guys? :P *I know it's Roland Orzabal but the resemblance is freakin' me out*

  • I cannot believe this is not playback! This song is closer to me than almost any other song. It says the things I don't always have the courage to say. Love you Roland and Curt.

  • sweet i love it

  • I just noticed something, The Cult would ROCK this song as a cover.

  • Probably the best version of this song, live or studio. Amazing.

  • Manny Elias is the shit. I fucking love when he plays on the octobans. He's drumming on Songs From the Big Chair is so solid.

  • One person didn't shout.

  • sweet 80's , and then I was in march 1990 in Berlin in TFF show,

greetings from Poland (Seeds of Love Tour)

  • 4:29 he looks like timmy from the whitest kids you know.

  • damn it! don't cut out the guitar solo!!!!!!!

  • hey its Harry potter at 4:23

  • Who THE FUCK disliked this? DOUCHBAG.

  • @propostris I would really like to know who the asshat is that hated this song too. :)

  • Tears for Fears Forever ! 80 years! Forever !

  • It's the only version of the song that you could have ever done. Others have tried to match the quality of this song and they failed miserably. :)

  • First question: why bother having a drummer onstage if you're just going to use the drum machine anyway?

Second question: why did they cut out the guitar solo?

  • I can F-E-E-L this music.

  • Whenever I watch this I just think...Duckie at the end of Pretty in Pink. Looks just like him to me for some reason!

  • @plaidsquidward It's OK I thought the same thing, lol.

  • I WOULD TAKE THIS OVER ALL THAT DAMN GANGSTA RAP PLAYING ALL OVER, I WAS BORN IN 1972 SO THIS IS MY KIND OF MUSIC, I DO LIKE HIP HOP BUT STILL ,THIS IS THE BEST..

  • @RodrigoMJ32 AAAAAMMMEEEEEEEEENNNN!

  • look, thats alan harper on vocals!

  • hey!! where's roland's guitar solo here...? huhuhuhuhuhu : (

  • Ese si era grupaso ochentero (Tears For Fears) su voz se confundia con el Legendario Depeche Mode otro gran grupo Bye...

  • is this whole concert/series available?

  • Whenever someone makes a comment on how music was better in past decades (luladavid) it tends to be because those people are ignorant of the music actually being produced and they stopped being into music after they're youth. Which is why you got people who know a lot about 80s music and nothing about modern music aside from what gets the media attention.

but whatever, thats just my rant. Great song, great energy when they play live. I like seeing Curt sing along.

  • @GetterRay Its like music has done a full loop and cant go anywhere else, the 70's maxed out the rock guitar the 80's maxed out the synth and the 90's played with sampling and now its all about rapping and to hell with the instruments all together.

  • @GetterRay I rant about music now because it's got no substance to it. When I listen to music I want to hear something that's got a lot of substance and artists who have swagger. I don't really want to listen to now artists because they have people behind them telling them which way to piss. :( Tears For Fears never let anybody tell them which way to piss. :(

  • @GetterRay Instead of ranting tell us who makes great music today which will be great years from now

  • Hillary Clinton on keys at 1:40

  • Curt's bassguitar is weird! xD

BUT THE SONG IS AWESOME!! :D

  • Roland sounds like Ringo Starr.

  • @MacDragard ringo starr ? what ? lol

  • What a decent time... just look at the crowd... :)

Now you'll see girls taking their clothes and guys going crazy... sigh... the 80s were really a golden time...

  • @devilbronxxx Roland has his genius moments and this is just one of the moments. Ian is right though. You can tell when Roland is really giving something. :)

  • lol this version is funny but awsom!!!

  • cooome am talking to you!

  • Love this song,like that 80's sound

  • Where's Roland's guitar solo. Its tha best part of the song!!!!

  • GREAT.....my time

  • they sound great!

  • @BigTEntertainmnet I saw them a few months ago on the last tour. They are an excellent live band. It's even better in person.

  • *-*

  • Pqp! Que banda foda!

  • second guys on coke

  • Why doesn't Britain produces more music like this anymore? Where's the spirit?

  • coz money is that main focus for record companies, not spirit or passion. sad times =[

  • @luladavid That British generation disappeared, newer generations are shaped by idiots and fags... I thing they call them "chavs" over there...

  • @luladavid it's hard to make good music these days. depend how good the musicians are.

  • I very much prefer to hear them live (meaning no miming or playbacks) because I find Roland puts so much more emotion into his songs. They are amazing. I think if your album is good and your live act is even better... that's when you know you're listening to one of the greatest musicians/bands of all time.

  • @minily They actually hated having to fake it on stage. All of the bands that were on shows like Top of the Pops were subjected to miming on stage and they all hated having to do it.

I know that I love hearing Roland and Curt's voices together. They have two different sets of voices that harmony wise blend so well together. :)

  • @CelesteK I know and I love them for that. It's always so obvious when they are lip singing... Roland laughs all the time! (I'm thinking Shout - MTV awards... and that australian show... Roland just burst out laughing like crazy while the record was still playing... lol.) They never take it seriously. Got to love them!

  • @minily I think that when Roland has something that he wants to say or if Curt has something that he wants to say they both say it and they say it really well. :)

  • Saw them live the other week! Was AMAZING <3

  • Why aren't there more English Bands like TFF in USA anymore? These Bloks are alright.

  • raridade

  • Nothing and no one beats TFF when it comes to live gigs...love u boys!

  • 80's RULE...no doubt about it

  • It's so remarkable to hear someone sound just like the album live!!!! Tears For Fears is an amazing band I'm glad i was alive during the 80's when music was REAL music!

  • like u said

  • AWESOME~!!!!!!

  • Awesome! Thank you so much for posting

  • It is.

  • shout shout let it all out these are the things I can do without come on I'm talking to you come on

  • in black and white they really really ought to know

  • absoluty!!! this ist the best perfomance of Shout

  • Sounds like playback music with real live vocals.

  • Nope. It's live. Manny's wearing the headset.

  • @CelesteK correct! manny elias..ian stanley(?) on keyboards..roland orzabal lead singer and curt smith on bass..thats the original crew of TFF

  • @cirus101 Also Andy Sanders on guitar and Nikki Holland on key boards.

  • @CelesteK they were added later on..the original band consisted of only the 4 of them...roland,curt,ian and manny...thats the true TFF

  • muy lindo video
