Hi Mama Shan. Instead of changing the color of the dress, is it possible to use other texture or graphics for instance I want the US Flag to be the design of the dress. Is that possible in photoshop Mama Shan. Please help me.Thanks. I love watching your videos.
Yes that would call for making what is called a Displacement Map. I have a couple of vids buried on my web site, used for a class I taught a few years ago. I'll put the link in the more info area here, so you and others can watch them.
thanks great video mama shan .. i learnt alot from your videos ... i am profesional too bt you teach some helping tricks .. keep it up ... you are really great
great tutorial. i've always asked how do you colorize a solid black or solid white color, i also thought there's nothing you can do about it anymore, until this tutorial. there's not one out there that is as easy & effective as this method...thanks a lot...big help for me :-D
Thank you. While I do admit to knowing a lot about Photoshop, I've been working in it for 10 years, now, there are still areas I've yet to explore...so I can only admit to master of some of it and there's still more of it for me to learn and master. They always keep my interest up because they always add something neww in each new version, which is a blessing and a curse at times.
Yes, I'm trying to teach "concept" and this can be applied to this as well. Read the More info in the right panels of this vid and the Photoshop Mama's Colorizing Concept vid.
Thanks "Photoshopmama" I did not know how to make the non-destructive layers for colours in photoshop!! thats going to save me lots of time in colour fixes! Cheers for another helpful vid :)
I have so many people asking me how I do colorization. I know how to do it but never have time to tell others how. I might people to your channel.

Amazing. Even when the concept looks "old news" there's a trick that adds so much to it.
Loved the channel mixer, much better results than just reducing the opacity of the other adjustment layers as I would usually do.
You're the best Mama!
