Dearest Walter Elias Disney. I swear I'm in tears right now from this vid. It's so beautiful but sad to see more of the film of him in his everyday life with his children and wife.
OH MY GOODNESS ,This Song Makes me cry. Why? Because it helps me to believe and have hope... Right Now Hope is what we ALL Need in this world. In my opinion, Children should listen to this song... Maybe, just... maybe THEY will be able to fix all the Problems that we cant seem to fix... I'm Hopeful
He is the one that made cartoons he is wonderful man that should be remembered i wish he was still alive! He would cancel all these dumb ass shows and make disney channel back where it was!
And i dont even watch disney XD why couldent they leave it to toon disney then i could watch all my nice nice shows! One day i hope they sue disnet channel so it could be back to where it was!
omg walt jst changed the world i went to disney world a few days in orlando and in the casle when he was talking jst made me cry!!!!!!! why did he half to die!
And one final thing can we change the Disney channel the was it was watching classic draw cartoons instead of kids acting out stuff it just not teaching our children anything
None knows what Walt would of think of his park nowadays he might like most of it but no a few parts and i think they put too much of Walt's life and past thing hes done at disney world because he wasnt there to vision it and supervise it he bother did all that and it just a waste of time to go all the way to florida cause it just too big nothing will beat the original park.
Walt Disney is just a brand name now they use his name for everything and Disney is just not the same without him he held the company for 10 years and now not even all those a people can manage the company they just blow money like it was water and i know its always going to change but you have to think about the past also not just about whats next for the future
okay i didnt want to entire park changed the way it was just some attraction that were taken down like the people mover and the carousel of progress...and my friend is an imagineer and i know someone else that work there too for imagineering and i dont bring this thing up cause i think it still needs more time.
I think what the original Park need a Thought of who and what Walt is and that is why i am going to make an Audio-Animetronic figure of this great and honored man not just standing there but actually moving and saying hi and to people and doing different things too i think many people will like this idea and i hope it can inspire many people too..Anyone who wants to help me in building this please repond?? We need to change Disney back the way it was!
@mancounter Thats's a great idea and all, but there are a few flaws to what you want to do. I had the privilege of meeting and talking to a Disney imagineer, and I asked him basically what you are saying. I asked "Why isn't there a Walt Disney audio animotronic? I would love to have a chance to see 'Walt' and hear him talk." The first thing he said about it was " We can't do that (yet) because there are still people alive who knew Walt and where very close time....
@mancounter *to him...Would you want to see a person, like maybe your grandpa, that is dead standing in front of you and talking to you?" You also said you want to change the park back to the way it was. I've read almost every book about Mr. Disney and I don't think he would like that. He said himself " Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world." Referring to the park "Something that I can keep developing...and adding to."...
@mancounter ...It seems clear that he wanted the park to grow and change and be added to. If it went back to the way it was none of that wouldn't be accomplished. I think he would be very disappointed if the parks never changed. Now, I understand that you may prefer the original park, that was entirely his, from over fifty years ago, but that isn't reality. His ideas, his reflection, and his contributions are still there and that's what makes the place great. Enjoy the park for all that it is.
OMG. This is amazing. I have never seen footage of him when he was young, just pictures. Disney has, and never will be, the same since he died. No one can ever take his place. He is greatly missed.
Walt, we honor you and praise the beautiful work you have brought to us, well for those of us who grew up with Disney. For the kids now a days we only pray their parents and elders teach them the magic of Disney. We love you!
walt disney was the greates cartoonist and story wrighters to have ever been on the world in a long time back when he was alive disney cartoons had soul and meening behinde wich now i believe has faded from the cartoon makeing world they need to go back to the basics like what walt had
I'm sure just like everyone posting here, Disney has touched mine and my families hearts and lives profoundly. So much more than just cartoons and theme parks...those those are amazing too. It's the quest for something pure and good that I think made Disney so successful. He was also able to see how Tech would evolve well before his time. He is my hero and this is a great video. I also have read Walts Biography and found it amazing.
Never realized this was Heather Headley's voice! Reading the comments, it is reassuring to see that tears aren't uncommon. I thought I was the only one who cries every time I hear this song. Tough thing, because I loved the Golden Dreams show... the ending video with this song was beyond heartfelt. Hope they will bring it back in the "new improved Disney's California Adventure!"
GOLDEN DREAMS SHOW SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( i miss the golden dreams show...i used to watch it every day after work!!! :( *shakes fist at little mermaid ride*
It seems as though he's affected the rest of my life forever. I've grown up with his movies and always insisted on playing them multiple times a day when I was younger because he really let me sculpt my imagination. Even now, he can still bring magic just as easily as when I was a toddler, if not more.
Forever bless Walt Disney; Everyone can make their dreams a reality, and Walt really showed everyone that it is indeed plausible for everyone to be able to do so.
Walter Elias Disney died of lung cancer in December 1966 in the hospital across the street from the Walt Disney Studios. I was fortunate enough to be made a cast member and this was the song that played. It has always brought tears to my eyes. It will forever inspire me.
for us animation people Disney was the greatest animation producer of all time. He of course put together and pushed a team of incrediblt talented artists to heights never before seen and probably never will be. Plus, the films he personally supervised are the most passionate and moving animation has ever seen.
We show our appreciation and talk about everything related to Disney's animation here, if you search for classical hand drawn animation.
No one can replace Walt. About the only thing we have to remember him today are his films, theme parks, descendants, films, and legacy. Things like HSM, Hannah Montana, etc. are what give Disney a bad name.
@mcog2006 The title would probably be called "Just One Dream: The Walt Disney Story" and it could probably use the song used in this video as it's theme But, who would be the distributer? Why Walt Disney Pictures of course.
@mcog2006 Yeah! Mark Zuckerberg has gotten enough attention with The Social Network! All he did was make a website that nobody needs. Walt Disney created a company that is one of the reasons people love America!
@kai1100 Yep, Disney should go back and make more cartoons than pre-teen and teen show. Pixar is good but still they're part of Disney, but live-action movies not so much. There few ones that are good like Enchanted and Old Dogs(Funniest movie), the teenager movies like Hannah Montana movie not good.
