I love frankel, dancing brave dubai millenium ect...but i Still think kings best battering giants causeway at newmarket would of beat anything that day in the guniese but this is still the most breathtaking performance on the eye ive ever seen..great great 2 year old, such a shame he never trained on. i think this race flattened him, johannesburg was exactly the same after winning there after a european campaigne..great memories all the same..
I have a 2 year old filly that I know is going to be a champion. Her broodmare sire is Arazi....Ways To Be Wicked. She is beautiful, smart and super fast. She will put Arazi back on the map. 2011 Kentucky Oaks winner
Frankel is something else, but this performance by arazi is just unbelievable... Breathtaking speed and just awesome power that made all these top horses look less than average
arazi a legend of a horse shame he didnt race as a 3 year old through knee problems ,but his off spring are doing aswell arazi lives on ,and thats good for us racing fans eh
@EquineTurtle911 no he doesnt race anymore he is 22yr old now he was beaten in 92 in the kentucky derby and finished 8th he had problems not long after this race with a knee problem and need a operating ,he was bought for 9 million dollars to skiek mohammed and put out to stud ,i think he is now grazing in a stable in newmarket england
I didn't think much of this commentary. He clearly missed the decisive move as Arazi scythed through the field to move from second last to the shoulders of Bertrando. I much prefer the english commentary of the race that was on channel 4 at the time. What a performance though - one of the best of all time. Like something from a movie.
Obviously a sensational performance, but what a great commentary too. "ARAZI!", "Arazi coming with a menacing rush", "ARAZI RUNS RIGHT BY HIM", "Betrando now a discouraged second".
Perfect choices of expression, adding to a very memorable race.
This is the best performance I've ever seen from a racehorse,it was like something you'd see in a movie only this was real, and the way the camera followed him weaving his way through the opposition was fantastic,it's a pity he never trained on and ended up siring showjumpers, without doubt my favourite BC race.
This has to go down as one of the most dominating races in the history of the the breeders cup, the way he exploded and weaved his way through the field was amazing, my all time favorite B.C. race.
That looked like it took NOTHING out of him.. His stride and the way he gallops is just so beautiful.

Until this year's 2000 Gs this race and the 1973 Belmont stood proud as the most extraordinary racing performances. Frankel has now joined them.
