Lovely video w/ great choice of music. They didn't create the jazz age. Neither were in the music business. They were the most emblematic couple of their period: fast living, screwed up and undeniably talented. The Fitzgeralds were icons of the 1920s.
The term "Jazz Age" was and still is a common reference used to describe the liberated and hedonistic society of that era. Jazz music itself was only a single part of the culture. Other cultural influences included post-war prosperity and Prohibition.
F. Scott Fitzgerald is indeed credited with coining the term Jazz Age and, along with Zelda, as you pointed out, was considered the epitome of the youthful exuberance of that era.
I am glad you enjoyed the video - the music is Duke Ellington's In A Sentimental Mood - done by Ellington himself in a recording that is out of print.
