@TheRoamer0 Metallica produced Kill em All which had 50% of the albums music written by Mustaine and Ride The Lightning had 25% of the music wirtten by Mustaine. You can't even mention those albums as being true Metallica efforts. Metallica has 3 full albums written by Hetfield and company (w/o Mustaine's help) that are worth a shit: Master, Justice and DM. Black album through St. Anger were mediocre at best with about 4 songs good on each album.

You can't make comparisons between albums of different era's. They can only sound the way they do because of the time period they were made in.

You got different sounding albums for different times. Having said that the Megadeth style is unmistakable throughout their history, but every album is going to be representative of what was going on in the world at that moment in time.
