Betty Lavette did the original on this and it's one of her best. Winwood is just so damn soulful though. Killer soul!

She owned the song then and still does 43 years later.

No one sings as good as Steve does here. MAN! I think this is one of Steve Winwood's best ever. And his guitar solo here sounds like he had been listening to Otis Rush. Of all the British guys ever Steve was the bluest. One of the reasons was that he played piano, organ, lead guitar, bass, vibes, drums.. Just a great tunes. Winwood played and backed up T-Bone Walker, Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, John Lee Hooker, Sonny Boy, B.B king, Champion Jack, Eddie Boyd, Memphis Slim, Gate Mouth, jimi H
