  • at the time noone knew she could sing a ballard. thus, we really found out how versatile she was.

  • This is when "vocals" were 100% real with no computer enhancements at all. Songs were sung from start to finish. No "compted" vocals like today...

  • love it

  • Hit the charts October 16,1965 and peaked at #25.

  • wow..has it been two years???? well, i still love the song...thought it was real "hip" then......was going with a girl at the time..a long distance-type of relationship..a college lad thinking about a girl just out of school...whose mom thought I was absolutely too old for her little girl (2 years)...well she found another...became a nurse and married...but I still miss her and think about her when I hear this recording........

  • frizzante .....mi ricorda i miei sedici anni........and now?

  • love that song - love you CHER !

  • Say what you will about Cher now, but she sure made some great records with no small help from Sonny.

  • I think I love her older songs better than the songs she makes now.

  • Great great song.

  • Great song - wonderful, unique Cher - love her !

  • I was just a mixed up pre-teen when this song came out, and I felt Cher was singing this to me, it just hit me in so many different personal ways. Gee-saus, brought tears to my eyes back then, and brings tears to my eyes now, it just transformed me back to my pre-teen years in San Francisco. WOW.

  • Sonny this is a great song...

  • this song makes me feel so sad... Sonny was the man as songwriter and Cher, wow, she is a legend.

  • i love this song, so touching- i love CHER - forever - the only true diva !!!

  • maravillosa voz, alumbró mi caminar en muchos momentos

  • There was a cover done on this song by 1966 or so, in French. It was very good, but I don't have the faintest idea of who sung it, or the title. Does anyone know?

  • I love this song. I missed it in 1965 and didn't first hear it until 1969 or so. I think it's the saddest song I've ever heard ... wonderful!

  • I was a freshman in college (northeastern) in boston when this song was played over WBZ radio. Now news/talk as so many of the good ones switched to. Like anyone cares, I just thought I'd share. Great song by the way!

  • There is a lot of truth in this touching song. It chokes me up a bit with memories of my own frequently troubled childhood. I doubt much has changed in the 40 years since Cher recorded this.

  • I associate this song with seeing Cher in bell-bottoms which were very trendy in 1965.

  • I remember Sonny and Cher. Sometimes it is so very sad how the years tend to make all of us drift so very far apart. A great song by a great performer.

  • I LOVE it. :)

*singing "ask your mom but right now she's mad...and your mother's cryin"*
