  • this stuff that start at 06.58 is just amazing!

  • This guy makes fucking crazy sci-fi/horror sounds. I love it.

  • Comment removed

  • its funny ..i couldnt get shit out of the ms2000..but i could get what ever i wanted out of the microkorg hahaha

  • @lvrsnvy the smaller synth is for a smaller person...

  • @emsky2000posse or it could be the diffrent layout...

  • @emsky2000posse or it could be the diffrent layout...

  • wow the vhs snippet in the middle was even better then the patches (btw would you be ought to sell these?)

  • I cant belive these sounds are from a MS2000, I have one of my own (MS2000R). But creating sounds like these must be super hard... >.<

  • Just got a Korg KS2000 yesterday , updated the firmware to fix any bugs, downloaded MS2K Syxplorer and got some nice patches from the yahoo korg ms2000 group and removed the rubbish preset banks. Whall this is a monster synth, i look forward to my next day off work. have you uploaded any MS2000 patches to this group, if not you really should as some of yours are outstanding and an inspiration to a new ms2000 user like me. SEARCH korgms2000 · Korg MS2000 for the yahoo User group folks.

  • watching these videos makes me really want my ms2000 to get here quicker, only a few days and il be goin knob crazy.

  • Dude you are a genius mad scientist on this.....

  • 3:53-4:11 My head exploded.

  • what are the lfo's waveforms?...I mean...is there a sine?can I create a good wooble bass?

  • @charliecromo theres a sine, triangle, square (2 of them actually), and sawtooth

  • @charliecromo low frequency oscillators. they produce no sound but rather modify the sound. if you patch one to the amplitude then the whole sound woobles. yes on one lfo there is a sine. and yes you can make it wooble from as slow as a rollercoaster to as fast as zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz and everything in between. this is good at bass not the best. at the lowest you have to tinker but you can find something nice without aliasing. even goes so low it's hard to hear. but really a fun synth.

  • @666laughingtarget thanks a lot for the answer!

  • @charliecromo no prob you're welcome. also lfo 1 is assigned to controller 2 of oscillator one. and lfo 2 is assigned to the mod wheel. but if you google it you can also assign the mod wheel to midi 2 of the virtual patch giving it more options. sorry they don't allow links here. and lfo 2 has a sign wave and lfo 1 has a triangle. the only difference of waves between them.

  • @charliecromo don't forget the onboard eq to get your basses right.

  • @charliecromo saw, pulse, tri, sine, an sample/hold... and you can set the frequency of LFO 2 as a modulation destination...

  • such a fucking dude! deffo gonna pick one of these up i think!

  • Wtf was that at 3:27? o.o

  • @xReconZerox

    HAHAHA Awesome moment

    xDD

  • yeah, but it sort of comes out of nothing. and isn't the envelope of the pitch a bit too weird and long to come out of lfo1->lfo2->pitch?

  • @jeanfatale you're definitely right. maybe one of the virtual patches is to cutoff and another virtual patch is to one of the eg's. that would explain for the delay. but an lfo would be suspect by what he modulated it from. hence the weirdness. mod one lfo to pitch and second cutoff to eg 1 or 2 i'm guessing but no one can truly learn by themselves.

  • Man, you have like a song idea by sound. That is amazing.

  • its crazy how the ms2000 and the microkorg have the same engine..with the microkorg it sounds thin but for me its easier to make the sounds i want like cyrstal castle type sounds..but with the ms2000 i get such a fatter and richer sound out of it..lol good thing i have both!

  • what's making the cool pitchtweak around 6:12?

  • @jeanfatale i think the two lfo modulations or virtual patch. one is to the cutoff at double the speed as the other lfo to pitch or something.

  • I LOVE ! this video..

  • getting one of these delivered tomorrow! can't wait! great sounds.

  • way to squeeze out some sick sound, good job man

  • i love your demos. youre really a great synthplayer!!!

  • The Access Virus TI2 kills ALL of your synths... you wasted your money BIG TIME!

  • @LittleNegrillio Just so happens he just got one (saw on his website). His review will be coming up soon, will be interesting to see what he thinks. Regardless, I think your attitude is pretty bad. Different synths offer different tonal characteristics and workflows that inspire musical creation. Yes the Virus is AWESOME (I own a Snow), but so is this synth.

  • @audibleobsession Hmmm.... Don't be ignorant. The AV has over 2900 sounds, there's no synth that this guy has that have that many presets. There's no synth out there better than the AV. Specially for "electronic music."

  • @LittleNegrillio Wow...this just proves everything wrong about your point of view. You're the ignorant one here (at the very least for not recognizing Jexus' skill in patch building and as a synth guru by simply referring to him as "this guy"). Go play with your 2900 "electronic music" presets on your Virus and have fun with those. I'm sure you'll make really original music.

  • @audibleobsession Wait wait, why on earth do I have to buy over 30 synthesizers like THIS GUY if I have an AV? I had over 10 synths, the adromeda, the jupiter 8, motif, nordlead the roland jp8000. Hmmm ALL got sold on ebay when I bought an AV. THAT"S WHY I MADE that comment. Most of these synths that he purchased, are a waste of money! Not to mention editing all of those gay ass films that he places on youtube.... Seriously Jexus needs to stop doing this! THIS GUY is out of control!

  • @LittleNegrillio such a stupid asshole, do you know words like PASSION, LOVE etc?

  • @ArmandoAKAdjArmando ::::wwwwaaaaaaaa::::::

  • @LittleNegrillio and BTW, Jexus also owns a Virus

  • @ArmandoAKAdjArmando Jexus has a Virus. He doesn't own an Access Virus. i know the guy, he's a crack addict. LOL

  • @LittleNegrillio: Visit his website syntezatory(dot)prv(dot)pl - he is preparing a massive review of Access Virus, and as you can see there: "Latest arrival - Access Virus TI"

  • @ArmandoAKAdjArmando Jexus bought a AV? He's just about to sell all of his synths, ya hear me ASSHOLE!

  • @LittleNegrillio: visit his site to chceck out his reviews - most of his synths will not be sold, because he loves their unique sounds, and digital synth like AV will always be only a digital synth without analog soul, HATERS GONNA HATE :)

  • @ArmandoAKAdjArmando You do realize that the Korg MS2000 is digital, right?

  • @xargos: yes, most of Jexus' synths are analogs, thats what I was talking about, still MS2000 is unique

  • @xargos it's virtual analog. so not analog, but not digital either :)

  • @LittleNegrillio hahahahahahahah. so obvious what your made of.

  • @LittleNegrillio who cares how many presets something has... learn how to build a patch from the ground up so you can make your own ORIGINAL music! With the exception of maybe 5-10 patches, I rewrite just about everything that comes stock on a synth. The presets in my mind are just to give you an idea of the variety of sounds it can produce, not what you should use to make music.

  • This is insane, you just made me seriously crave a MS2000.

  • Sounds so freaking amazing.

  • ''bc how i hear it is that the older the va is the fatter it is..'' for example esq-1 is fatter then the sq-80..

  • is the ms2000 as thin as the mk...bc how i hear it is that the older the va is the fatter it is..and the mkxl isnt any better!

  • man.. i like this synth... but only 4 voices is killing it.. that and ive had a microkorg before..and that was a mastake! it was way too thin. i just dont know if its gunna be the same..but i did trade the korg for a ensoniq sq-80;)very happy now..so now its ether a ms2000 or a ion..but damn..only 4 voices..damn

  • Super Inframan! LOL

  • 6:50 o cha

  • Do you think the microkorg can do any of this? It is said that the microkorg has the same sounds as this but after watching these vids I have serious doubts

  • @culturaleyes Yes, it can. However, the parameters of manipulation will be much more limited for on the fly tweaking. Bottomline, exact same dirty nasty sound as the MS2k/MS2kb models just far less knobs.

  • @culturaleyes Indeed as said by alterstate the microkorg has the same sound engine as the MS2000(B) but less (allmost none) on the fly knobs to tweak. On the secondhandmarket the micro changes owner for 100 Euro less then the MS2000. Better to save up that extra bit.

  • I just got my hands on a rack module off Craigslist for $280. Thanks for this awesome demo, as it was one of my main inspirations for tracking down this synth. Now, if I can only figure out how to program patches with this much awesome...

  • someone please tell me how to get the sounds he has going @ the very beginning. the sustain growl. and how do i get the rythmic seq going. ? please!!!

  • is this ms-2000a? or b? and what is the difference?

  • @Synthesized13 it's the original ms2000 or "a" as you asked. the differences are slight. the top of this is some kind of blue and the ms2000b is black. on the ms2000b you can hook a gooseneck mic to the top-left where you can't on this one. but both will allow a mic in the back with 1/4 " cable. and i guess the presets are different from each other. oh, and the slight years difference when they were made. but that's it.

  • @666laughingtarget thanks! i think i want the older one. Im selling my Yamaha MO 6 for 850 to save money for 2 vintageish synths. My list is Ensonique ESQ-1, Korg Ms2000a, Alesis Ion, Yamah DX-7, Korg DW8000, and Roland JP-8000. any suggestions on the 2 best??? Ive heard them all and they all have great sounds. So hard to choose just 2!

  • @Synthesized13 the korgms2000b is my first synth, i just did my homework. a or b it was just cheaper at the time. i also was bidding on the ion. not too long ago. but i'll say my p.o.v. esq 1 great. people have a hard time with fm synthesis. trial and error if you want the work. $200 w/o shipping with new battery tops. you just wait if you lose a bid. cold sounding but i like it. more expensive is akai ax 80 but more for the noisier faction and i'm a sucker for flashing things. ms2000. people

  • @Synthesized13 don't like the limited voices but it's great hands on in almost every factor. i like it. get one for $400 w/o shipping tops. ion. heard better for it's quality of sound. but i guess you can't pound on the keys extremely hard. i saw this go for $300-600 hard to tell. i got outbid on the high end. the rest i don't know. but i believe this guy's page and says the dx-7 is a pain to program. the rest i don't know. but get your favorite for cheap by waiting. also ask around. sorry.

  • now thats a proper demo

  • you are a beast. great vid, especially at 3:28

  • What does the midi on top mean?

  • @killtheswitch he's using a midi controlled device and just filtering the sound with the synth. but when it doesn't say midi it's just pure synth on it's own.

  • Retro Analog stuff...very beautifull- better prefer to say its a human mirracle!!

  • heres my ms2000

  • this is sweet, love the sound and melody @ 2:44 . I just found the MS 2000R on craigslist for $200! I hope this guy is for real that I'm getting it from...if i get it WHAT A STEAL!

  • @brightstarlit hi this is the guy from craigslist. thanks for the tip. im raising the price to double that now. cheers!

  • i love your beats man. there so ominous and evil haha

    like bloody beetroots style

    so awesome!

  • @jasonmathieu1 bloody beetroots suck.

    jexus is genius LUL

  • By looking at your channel, I dont think you have the authority to make such a wild and idiotic accusation. Rather keep your ignorant opinion to yourself.

  • @jasonmathieu1 lol @ "accusation", i just think these bloody beetroots suck. and since when people are able to know someone's personnality and status through their channel???

and i havent heard the ms-2000 doin these fuckin gay hoover synth sounds... like em sucky beetroots.

  • @boisbrut never said anything about your personality. you can carry on giving angry comments for no reason to other people.

  • @boisbrut The MS2K sounds like this no matter what if you're running the synth only. If you didn't know this synth was designed to emulate older analog synths while maintaining easy programming. The only way you can get this to sound more modern is by using post effects and doubling it up to the rack unit version for more polyphony and oscillators.

  • agreed!

  • now this is what a demo should look like!!

  • loving it all! what's at 6:50 please!?!!!

  • great synth! i bought the rack version after seeing these and other videos. You can make some weird sounds with this synth

  • i know very little about this synth but i like how it sounds.

can anyone tell me if you can use the sequencer as just a drum machine + effects?

  • @vintagedrgonzo

You know, I think there's an Inside Synthesis video that covers exactly what you're asking.

  • Can you do the sounds user denkitribe is doing on his video Microkorg xl,,they start at 1:09 minute.

  • far better than my jp8000(only good for strings for me)and easier to edit than the korg r3(ok the r3 had a specific editor for pc/mac )but who wants to switch on his computer to make music?

  • me.

  • i fucked around and MS2000 once and loved it, then I started to wonder if it sucked later. I've heard things about reliability, but I did like its sound, and its got decent presets, and a good arpeggiator. And it doesnt sound like every damned roland out there.

  • is the ms2000 better than the z1, i dont know much

  • This is so going into my studio. Best synth demo ever.

1st preset is hard as hell. This looks like the perfect synth!

  • I have seen a LOT, and i mean A L O T of synth demos on youtube, but this far surpasses everything i have ever seen. You sir are a god among men! This is going in my studio.

  • 00:50 !!1111

  • To sie nazywa demo a nie jakies tam pitolenie. Dzieki Olo!

  • you are sick at editing and playing

thanks for the great demos man

  • this or microkorg? or could somone tell me the best synth for this price

  • You'd have a much easier time programming and messing around on the full size MS2000 than on a Microkorg.

  • If you buy used, you can find an MS2000 for just a little more money than a Microkorg. Most will agree that it's worth the money for the easy tweakability and full sized keys.

  • is this really easier to customize? It looks REALLY intimidating...

  • Yes, it actually is. Here's how it works. Both the MS2000 and the MicroKorg are the same synthesizer, capable of the same things. But compare the amount of knobs on the MS2000 and the MicroKorg. The Microkorg involves more menu diving. I recently picked up a Microkorg myself and I love it. If you just plan on using presets, the Microkorg is fine. If you want to do some real synthesis, the MS2000 will be alot less frustrating. I get my synthesis addiction out of the way with my Roland SH-201.

  • I think the general consensus is that you might as well buy the MS2000 if you're torn between that and the Microkorg. For just slightly more than the microkorg, you can get the MS2000 which is far easier to edit with. You also get full sized keys that way. While I personally don't like the Alesis Micron, it gets great reviews and it costs around the same price as the microkorg.

  • god damn, the sounds are amazing. You can hear a lot of those sounds really coming back in hip hop now with the whole wobbly beats/ neosoul kinda stuff.

  • nice sounds...but very ugly design.

  • Great Demo's But, do you really have to put really sick animal pics up.?.

  • I just bought the rackmount-version of this beast, it should arrive someday next week, I can't wait! :D

  • 5:21 is very Kraftwerk-esque. Specifically, Autobahn.

  • 6:51 ~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Totally. Wicked. I know what I'm buying now.

  • No. It's more like - what YOU can do with it after buying ;)

  • great video and sounds

  • Great demo, great sounds. So glad I bought an MS2000 all those years ago. Great synth.

  • thanks for all you awesome demos!!!

  • I FA KING LAV UR VEEDEOS YES YES YES

  • sick

  • lol I think you are a fan of PowerRangers huh!? ^^ Seriously you're good

  • wow you could make a whole disk with that thing with no help from any other piece of machinery.

but it doesnt have any drum sets does it?

    at least it shouldnt.

it would be nice if it did

  • i wish i still had my MS2000 :( mite get the rack version next time tho, it is a chunky beast

Awesome sounds man, love the opening tone!

Is there some sort of subliminal messaging in these pictures? lol

    Keep it up dude!

  • Sweet vid man! The MS2000 is dope! Wish I hadn't sold mine :)

  • This synth looks so awesome, I can buy one from someone for a good price, it's the MS 2000B version with an included microphone for the vocoder. I'm really looking forward to it! Really nice sounds you've got there, all of your synth vids are just fantastic!

  • Great sounds!

After 4 years, I'm still pulling new stuff out of my MS2000. Meshing the Virtual Patch section with the 4-track sequencer and splitting the keyboard provide limitless opportunities for soloing over complex loops and pads.

  • 9:20 is just the sound I need...

  • jonsat1: HOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!1

    jonsat1: this video

jonsat1: makes me SO FUCKING WET

  • Really cool stuff. I've been thinking of selling my MS2000. I'm keeping it now!

  • 6:51 is the shit. MORE!!!!!!!!!!

  • if you something that sounds really similiar, go to the ending on his akai ax-80 video.

  • also want a full version of

    6:19

    and many others

    seriously

  • wow this vid has really made me kinda go on to the ms 2000's side from the minimoog voyager

i really like the way you did it too

  • 10:20....cool!

  • Awesome

  • Mistrzostwo. Podziwiam...:)

  • hey nice man, thanks for puttin it up!

  • 1st viewer...
