uhm, no actually. He's singing about a war, I think. You can referance the lyrics if you want. But he talks about orange skies, and how bombs are thrown at them[ for a more literal example] and perhaps the lighthouse is protection and thats why they're going there? As for "Great great minds, against themself conspire" i dont know how that relates to a war. but maybe the war is unternal?
The song's about Virginia Woolf & her novel To The Lighthouse, which takes place during the war. The line "Great great minds against themselves conspire" as well as "Build your castle, stop collecting stones/ And the riverbed shall not be your home" refer directly to Virginia and her suicide (she collected stones in her pockets to weigh herself down and walked into a river).
If anyone other than Mr. Wolf sang this, it wouldn't be the same. He has this attractive personality and thoughtful vocals that transform any song into a masterpiece.
I deeply apologise on behalf of the person ho posted that comment. This is a shared account, and that particular person who posted that reply is a snob. Sorry.
We shouldn't fight about what songs are about.... I think everyone should have there own view or moral about it and just enjoy the music
