  • It is a silly warning. Germany was fighting for survival. There is nothing wrong with this beautiful song. A tragedy about all of the good soldiers lost.

  • Ez egy megható és nagyon szomorú dal. Akit zavar azzal van a baj.

  • I do`nt give a shit what she was i like this song thats all

  • @funnybones814 There are just dozens of those higher up Nazis including Hitler and Goebbels...

  • son is wounderfull but if you consider who sang it is horible

  • @funnybones814 Nazis, are not bad, communists are!

Death to communists, jews, gipsies and all other vermin!

  • Shame on you! Marelene Dietrich was ANTI NAZI. Read your history!!!

  • Nicholas777100:

I agree with you. This was a disgraceful period in Russia's magnificent history.

My eldest brother (A British sailor) was treated for war wounds in Murmansk hospitals. These buildings were shelled by Hitler's forces who knew that only the injured and sick were inside. He was full of praise for the bravery of the local people.

Unfortunately the GOOD and ORDINARY people of all nations are led by Politicians who in the main are 'power-hungry' FOOLS.

  • Scad the Reaper: Churchill didn't start the war, nor did he hide from the Nazis. He made sure Britain and its allies fought. Hitler had a brilliant idea and if he had done the 'right' thing by Germany, they would have had a glorious Third Reich. Sadly he thought to conquer the world by mass slaughter...and lost everything.

I feel sorry for the decent Germans who suffered at his hands, pity Valkerie didn't manage to assassinate him, millions of lives would have been saved.

  • A wonderful song that depicts the loneliness of soldiers going off to war.

So sad that Herr Hitler cost millions of lives in pursuit of a 'glorious Third Reich' that could never have been accepted anyway...what a stupid waste by a 'so-called' civilised Nation.

The dead and wounded of my own family deserved better lives. The Nazis got what they deserved...slaughtered by the righteous! Hitler didn't die fighting, what a cowardly way to go!

  • @Roncatcam like the fatass churchill would go die fighting doh.

  • @SkadTheReaper wen you say fatass it normaly means you dont have respect for the him/she

  • @Roncatcam Well, worst of the worst was the Bolshevizm....it destroyed four generations of Russians, Stalin alone killed more than 22 million Russians.....and we have still paid the price......RIP for all who died in this stupid WWII.

  • Serbia!

  • Both sides listened each night for this song to be played on Radio Belgrade. One night there was silence. Belgrade had fallen.

  • I am American. That is a fact, but I absolutely love the country of Germany. My great gand parents both came from Germany and I would love to go there one day. Even for a single day, or an hour. If I had that chance I would take it. I blame no one for what happened. War is a filthy thing and should never be among us.

This song brings back so many memories to me when I was a child. My great grandfather would sing it to me, all the time. I love this song so much. Thank you.

  • the comment about wiping Germany out with a nuclear bomb can be also directed toward the U.S. The U.S.soldiers did the same in Vietnam and Iraq. America has dropped more bombs than any other country, toppled democratic governments who interfered with their economic interests and trained death squads in the School of Americas. I am German and my grandparents hated Hitler. Always wipe the scum off your boots before you point the finger.

  • can someone translate this song?

  • ouradour sur glan was wiped out to a man.stalin killed15 million of his own .wheres the justice there isnone.

  • Whan i said "I agree", I want to say that 4freespeech is right.

  • I agree

  • German soldiers were just a horde of cruel, honorless animals and have only one goal: to kill, rob and rape as many civillians as possible. And they did it.

  • @badur77 and how many german soldiers did u know?

  • People always say, Oh the German soldiers were conscripted and had no choice but to follow orders. When the Gerrmans were getting their asses kicked by the allies they took their anger out on the civilian population by wiping out whole towns. The German people have a lot to answer for. It's unfortunate we didn't level that country with a nuclear bomb too.

  • @Bossmanrocks For sure you are a crazy man. Did you see what you write or is just your imagination product of your film movies?

  • @ASDICX bravo!

    Well said!

  • They just don't make songs like this anymore, thanks for posting it !

  • When the old people say go to war the young people go. When the leader of the government is thoroughly corrupt and orders torture, like our George Bush, then the nation is lost. With no moral compass other nations can defeat us.

  • @onebaud George Bush didnt order torture. Terrorist organizations torture. There's a difference between torture and interegation. And even if there wasnt (there is) The US special forces wanted to get information to save lives, they do it to kill more people. And corruption has been higher under Obama than EVER under Bush. Neither one was a great economist, but Bush is getting a bad rep for no reason.

  • Viva la Division 250!!!!

  • And the aussies march to this.

  • true right, they just followed orders, the real criminals are the politicians

  • Beautiful song. Goes well with the pictures.

  • @boraleksan

  • The cause for WW II can be traced to WW I and the Versaile Treaty. Germany had to pay so much money in reperations to the allies, that her economy could not recover (President Wilson was against reperations). A man like Hitler was able to utilize this to his advantage. He promised work to the unemployed , he delivered. He promised economic recovery , he delivered. he promised a renewed pride in Germany - he delivered. And he was not even a German - but an AUSTRIAN!!! Alas...........

  • death to fascism,freedom to a people!!!SMRT FAŠIZMU,SLOBODA NARODU!!!

  • @mprojekt2000 Smrt komunizmu. Smrt anarhizam. Smrt za sve ubojite ideologije.

  • Germany had every right to attack Czecoslovakia! The Sudentenland was stolen from Germany in 1919. What would any country do if part of it was given away?

  • @Kindsbach99 Czechoslovakia was not attacked, but just forced to cede lands in 1938, both to Poland, Hungary ánd Germany alike. Not only to Germany.

  • Thank heavens there are no wars in Europe at the moment. Watch OH what a lovely War for a tragic view of humanity.

  • Comment removed

  • And Americans will be a symbol of mismanagement, greed, and ignorance forever. This coming from an American.

  • However Germans will be symbols of fascism for long, long time.

  • If you guys think that the concentration camps were bad, you should see what the Japs did! The Jews are whining about nothing. What about the American POWs and Russian civilians tortured, maimed, and murdered by the Japs? Look up Unit 731 on Youttube. It's the first video, I think. I just hate how the world thinks the Nazis were so bad. They were nothing compared to what those Jap animals did.

  • They fought so hard for their country. Germany belongs to Germans!

  • @charliepc56

I agree with you -and we fought hard too - England once belonged to the English before we entered the E U -which has achieved peacefully what Germany failed to do by force

  • @candw87 Im form slovenia and when we entered the EU food, clothes, cars, everything got so expensive. People are out of jobs. And some children are living in cottages.

  • Where did you get that picture, near the end, with the soldier standing, looking out over the vast countryside, with a signpost in the foreground? It is the most beautiful image I have ever seen and I want a copy to put on my wall.

  • lank lebe deutchland

  • The guilt of World War II was left at the German's feet. Despite "winning" WWII, the "guilt" of colonialism was left at the British and other European countries feet. Slavery for the USA. Basically, its a tactic used to divide and conquer European people in a bid to usher in the New World Order. It'll be the greatest test of the Germanic peoples but one I am sure we can survive from.

  • beautiful song!!!!!!!!!

  • Soon those turkish and romanian "immigrants" will make a law in which they demand germans out of germany and germans cant do anything or they are nazis..

  • wunderbar...

  • the German shit you'll pay for everything you have done in WWII. We never forget what you did . burn in the hell nazi

  • @zokigrobar Its laughable for someone from Serbia to be pointing fingers at Germans for WW2. Most of the perpetrators of WW2 are dead. Most of the Serbian perpetrators of atrocities in the last Balkan war are stil alive. What were your relatives doing in that conflict..? Look in your own backyard before you throw stones.

  • @balmainguy

Crimes that have Alemand committee in WW2 can not be appear with the crimes of the last gers in Balkan. We do not kill people just because they belong to a nation like the Germands did with the Jewish

  • @zokigrobar ..ill never forget what the muslims did on 9/11, but you jews never shut up about WWII...you harp and harp and harp....but you know what, no seems to have a problem with the filthy muslims in this country....

  • @bobbya16

I am not jewish I am Orthodox. Jews are never stop the talking about WWII because they have a reason.

  • @zokigrobar ....what reason? if they were not so arrogant and got out in the late 30's when hitler told them to "get the fuck out of this country...we dont want you here" maybe nothing would have happened....also the number that were killed is greatly exaggerated...and most important, what about all the others that were exterminated at that time...no oe bitches anymore but the fucking jews....that is why everyone hates them, but only a few have the balls to admit it..

  • I wish I was there just lounging around in africa with the Wehrmacht :) those seemed like the days

  • it's logical there is not respect for turksh...germans havenot in consideration turkey.for them was like slavians...himler just abused them in the way you know better than me mr alabamaCSA.none consider turks except the true imperialistic nation that is america..so don't speak for germans..leave them apart.

  • aw wunderbar *_*

  • Hitler was like Babrossa with his great army!

  • but as everybody knows in that time.. None could travel there... or wacth the national videos.. but all this vidoes were shown before the war!

  • we can not hate them... they were our brother......... iT JUST their brains were washed

  • but german soldier.. the best of the world!

  • German Soldiers... they changed to dark side... but I think not most of them were crazy guys... in some movies they showed them as the bag guys..

  • long live the third reich

  • @yachtguy358 Except its been dead for a while, about 65 years

  • beautiful song , very sensual voice

  • Those Nazi soldiers were just like our American guys today-

"Just following orders", when they go blow up women & kids.

Its called WAR, the favorite pastime of wealthy elites,

politicians and kings, but just plain HELL for everybody else!

  • @4freespeech - I watched a documentary about D-Day the other night and the allies who landed on Omaha beach knew they were on a suicide mission but they did it so that idiots like you can spout off ignorant, clearly uneducated, and misinformed crap. Thank god you weren't a soldier at that time; we would have all been speaking German now. That's if the Nazis would have allowed you to live. Then again, you probably would have been a saboteur like Obama's grandfather, Stanley Dunham.

  • @Bossmanrocks What 4freespeech is stating is the fact that the U.S. War Machine and Nazi War Machine bear striking resemblance to each other. That is, War.

War does unimaginative things to ordinary human beings like you and me. I don't believe 4freespeech meant any disrespect to ANY soldier, instead the circumstances that press a civilian trained to kill to serve in uniform. That is the reality of every soldier. The U.S. has been at war since 1945 (nam, kor, ku, afg, Iraqi).

  • @4freespeech not too far removed from 'The War on Terror' of the 21st century.

  • @4freespeech Yep, that's right....the game-players has played that game thousands of years...and millions of stupid pawns died. I'm a chess player since 1963, and when I play, I always take a great care about my pawns...without pawns you lose the battle....but in that game "war" the players do not care enough for their pawns, unfortunately. The conclusion is: never be a pawn.

  • No more wars.

  • Heil-Hitler

  • I love this song so much.

  • The best song ever made, and the pictures are beautiful,i love it!!!!

  • The most haunting song to ever come from those war years. No matter the side, the song had special meaning for all soldiers suffering from separation anxiety. Too bad it had to originate with the freaking Germans but such was life.

  • all died

  • Naduvajte mi jaja!!!!

  • @Shoferchina1 aber vorher Wien, Prag, Warschau, Paris, etc hihi

  • good vid,nice song

  • ZHER GUTH ???

  • They play this song at the ANZAC memorial in a Central Queensland town every year out of respect for all young men sacrificed to war..

  • jebem vam majku fasisticku

  • @djolepan Ty si Ceski somar. Asi si dobry komunista.

  • GREAT TOON THANK YOU LUV

  • Excellent

  • Muy bueno! Encantado!

    Saludos.

  • You all stop the usual idiotic dispute, pretending to change history. Enjoy this tragic and beautiful song for what it is, a moving document and a piece of musical artistry, but don't engage in sterile ping pong of accusations. It's not worth and makes as many fools of yourselves... SERGEIANGULO is absolutely right in his comment, you think of it!

  • where can i find this version of the song?

  • 1:25 beautiful voice

  • This is true, Croatia was in Hungarian domination from 1102 and had an autonomy since the Habsburg dominance!!

  • But there was no good reason to attack Czechoslovakia, no good reason to bomb harmless regular people in Poland, no good reason for any of it besides the rantings of a brilliant idiot named Hitler who dragged the German populace into an abyss. Today the Germans are still paying for his mistake in the form of Turks and others who have no respect for the German people and who are destroying the fabric of the German nation.

  • @AlabamaCSA

    is a reason to listen!

Music and soldiers are not guilty!

  • @AlabamaCSA maybe it will be the same thing like with jews......but this time with turks :D

  • @AlabamaCSA Haha, so it's Hitler's fault? I could have sworn it was Stalin, Winston Churchill and other nations that got rid of Hitler and allowed a those scum to skitter into Germany.

  • @Ministamf You are right, however there was a shortage of labor after the war... and the Turks were invited as guest workers... Indirectly it was Hitler's fault...

  • @AlabamaCSA Czechoslovakia was never "attacked" in 1939 at all. Poland also participated in dismembering the (artificial) state of Czechoslovakia in 1938, taking Zaolzie region and annexing it into Poland. You Americans know little about European history, so do not speak out on it. Or just trust the New York Times and other propaganda media of yours. You know nothing about the invasion of Poland and its various causes.

  • @IustitiaPax Well I did oversimplify in many ways; perhaps you could enlighten us with your superior European intellect...quit bashing Americans, If I recall, Canadians and Americans helped liberate the nation in which you live. I use the word "attack" loosely, German soldiers shooting Czech police in various Sudeten regions seems like attack. I was born in Czechoslovakia by the way and I speak Czech and German also, I am not an "ignorant" American...I have seen "ignorant" Dutch folks too..

  • @AlabamaCSA I wasn't "bashing" Americans. No "Czech police" were killed by German soldiers in the Sudetenland. Nonsense. The 1938 Munich Agreement and the Sudetenland incorporation into Germany went by peacefully. No Czechs were killed. Czech government officials were expelled though into the Czech core lands or to Prague. On March 12, 1939, the Slovak Independence dissolved the remaining Czechoslovak State. Not Hitler or Germany. The annexation of Zaolzie in 1938 into Poland was also peaceful.

  • @AlabamaCSA There are numerous ignorant Dutch too. As for the liberators, the gratitude was fitting, but kept inside boundaries, because the same United States in 1944 and 1945 bombed to death thousands of Dutch civilians during Allied air raids against industry and against "collaborating" cities in Nazi-occupied Holland. Liberating people from their lives is not exactly uplifting. We are thankful to Canadians and Polish Forces of the West though here and in Breda.

  • @AlabamaCSA lol dude u need to learn your history. Czechoslovakia was Taken from them Germans. dont get me wrong. its the germans not just hitler. hell they participated in EVERY world wars.

  • @AlabamaCSA germany was very2 poor before WWII, the people were looking for an answer. shortly before the war, 2 of the most popular party was the NSDAP and...the Communist. its pretty much the same if u ask me lol and the people voted for NSDAP, now there are 2 elements of the WWII..the war it self and the holocaust.. people hated the holocaust, blame reinhard heydrich for that. the holocaust really started in the middle of the war.

  • @AlabamaCSA now hittler was a politician an me my self hate politics. blame the politics, hittler promised his people an answer for the poverty, and he did keep his promise, it was a condition called full employment and he did manage that. you have to widen your view when it comes to history,.there are too many views and you cant pick one, many historians, non german, said hittler was just an innocent human being corrupted by war (WWI) and politics to save germany

  • @bobohomania I appreciate your take on history, you are right it does come in many facets.

  • @AlabamaCSA I like how you end your critique of Nazism by appealing to racism. I am pretty sure it is the Germans who are disrespecting the Turks. They asked the Turks to do their work for them anyway, the Germans don't want to have very many babies so there is a labor shortage.

  • @AlabamaCSA Czechosakia, Bohemia the western part only, was occupied by the Germans because the place was German through and through in every way (racially, culturually etc.) He ASKED for Danzig, a city GERMAN THROUGH AND THROUGH. If a part of the USA... say New England, was taken by Russia, wouldnt you want to have it back as they are your own people in every way? You surely would as it had been part of your country and should be part of your country.

  • @Thinker341 I appreciate your insights. I know Bohemia very well and I disagree with your assertions and analogy also. Germans living in Czechoslovakia were never a part of Germany historically and were in fact Austrians. They made up the majority in the Sudeten areas, and were a sizable portion of Prague and a few other towns. What should have become of the Czechs who were also numerous? And if New England leaves, us folks down here really wouldn't care much, since we are Confederates.

  • jebem vam mater svima!

  • glorious german soldiers, heroes of my childhood...

gloriosi soldati tedeschi eroi della mia infanzia...

  • good for you

  • the truth abouth this period of history in my country(croatia) is this:900 yers of slivery, first under hungury then austria and hungury (half of croatian teritory occupaid and taken by turky. 500 year in war with turky. then shs kingdom with economic cultural political destroing of croatia by serbs "greath serbia" oriented king... and then hitler.he ofer us a freedom after 300 years. part of croats folow him but biggest part joined the partisan.first partisan squad was formed in sisak croatia

  • beautifull song. it sings to deutschland soldiers not to ss or nazi soldiers. my granfather died in stalingrad he was croat but he died with his deutschland friends. we should sometimes remember young brave unlucky people who fight and died for wrong reason anfortunatly but in most case they didnt have a choise...

  • Amen! :)

  • a very beautiful song

  • Whatever may be said for the bravery and heroism of the German soldier, it still remains that he was an invader and occupier sent by a madman. Wait, that sounds familiar to us Americans doesn't it?

  • the big difference is that all of Germany was mobilized for war and the German youth could not say no or face jail or the firing squad. The Americans have a choice, Bush & Obama didnt need a draft...

  • This is very true. I joined, did four years and two tours in Baghdad with the army - hindsight is 20/20.

  • thanks for your service. I hope I didnt come across as looking down on those who serve now, because I dont. Im a former Marine(90-95). I was a TOW 2 tech, attached to Task Force Ripper during Desert Storm. I graduated boot camp August 1st, 1990 and the next day Saddam invaded Kuwait. I feel some guilt that we didnt finish the job when we had the opportunity. to think that a lot of what we are going through now could have been avoided if we just went the extra mile back then...

  • Maybe one of these days I'll be able to listen to the whole song without misting up. Not yet though...a wonderful song.

  • who touch the Russians will have problems with Serbs

  • Very small problems one might add - kind of problems that Croatia has solved in one morning on August 5th 1995 :-)

  • Haha... Why u don't solve problems with Slovenia (country with 2 000 000 people)...

And u are proud on 05.08.1995., the day when u killed 5 000 people???

Something is wrong with your brain, but then again, your Croat...

  • @donele83

Slovenia has not invaded Croatia - Serbia did. And yes I am extreemely proud that the Serb rebels have been kicked out of Croatia. There were no 5000 deaths - it´s just another Serb lie - but a massive push out of Croatia for those who have rebelled against Croatian authority. Make sure you don´t ever forget 5th August 1995 - we really do not wish to do any more pushing! :-)

  • Another brave nazi Croat... proud on killing small children and old people (because they can not wight back, of course)...

Even Adolf Hitler considerd you beast... How low one nation can fall???

  • You are so full of crap it hurts to watch. Serbs have been killing and raping civilians in 4 wars in the 90s and you lost them all. The NATO has bombed you, and the International community has taken Kosovo out of Serbia's jurisdiction to protect people of Kosovo from crimes of your troops. Serbs are beneath contempt - and there is not a lie or a phantasy in the world that you could write here or anywhere else that could change this fact. You're an evil nation!

  • This video has 360,412 views, I hope one of them will go to wikipedia and type this word: "Jasenovac"

and see what subhuman u are. I'm sure u are proud on this period of Croatian history, right?

Common, admit you are proud....don't be a shame that you killed children in cradles. After all, all Croatians are proud of it, why won't you be?

  • 42 godine imas??? Hahahaha...

    Ajd cujemo se kad porastes.

    Lep pozdrav iz Novog Sada.

  • Yep I am old enough to have been personally involved in kicking the Serbs out of Croatia. Enjoy it!

  • Oh, you are one of those suicidal soldiers? Why won't you say that, so I could be gentle with u.

We don't want to push you over the edge, do we? :)))

You will find this interesting, because this is the source from Crotian newspaper:

"Prema šokantnim podacima iz nekoliko braniteljskih udruga proizašlih iz HVO-a i Armije BiH, oko 1500 razvojačenih branitelja od rata do danas izvršilo je samoubojstvo"

Who knows, maybe you are next... you never know... :)))

  • Dream on baby :-) I'll be here waiting for you next time too :-)

  • For a moment i was concerned about your mental health...

  • That's very sweet of you. If we could show more concern for one another maybe we could find a way of being respectful too. Happy new year to you. Over & Out.

  • normal people are proud of giving a life, not taking a life, normal people are proud of giving a home, not taking it, but you are a Croat, so I understand.... shame....

  • A Salute to fallen comrades!.. Skaista, ļoti skaista dziesma. Latvija atcerās. Atcerās un lepojās... Vivat!!!

  • @river21100

    Ja!

    You are right!

    !!!
