  • OMG this song brings tears to my eyes, according to some lecturer at my university that happens when we subconsciously remember something that we can't actually visually get back to our brains, I wonder wat is it that it reminds me of.

  • everytime i listen to this track, i want to cry and smile at the sametime. I want to pack up my stuff and go back home to Bloemfontein. I had the opportunity to see him live, electrical!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is one of the most simple and purest bass track i have ever heard. It is so sad.. I feel so sad and tearful whenever i hear this song. RIP Sipho... Just like Dube they go so young.

  • This song reminds me of my time growing up eSwatini.

  • Makes me wanna cry! A beautifilly crafted sad song.

  • When this tune came out on Smooth Africa back in the day, I absolutely went beserk. This version of it is a bit longer and adds a few bits to it. It is an absolute gem. One of my few regrets was the fact that I too did not see him live. All his CDs are out of this world. My advice to anyone who wants to hear the bass played with class and style - go get yourself any of his CDs - NOW!

  • Sounds to provide some comfort when there is darkness all round, friends now so few. Not a friend in sight to mourn with me. Gone with the comfort. When better days return so do my friends. When the light returns again, so do they. Until then I grope in the dark alone.

  • awu bantu, makes me miss my daddy even more...

  • I lived in Southern Africa and became familiar with the trio Kalamazoo of which Sipho was a member. I lost my Kalamazoo CD and was devastated. By chance I found this song and realized that Sipho Gumede is Kalamazoo. His stamp on the group is crystal as I listen to this I feel his spirit in my finger tips. Simply beautiful.

  • i love this and most of the south african who are in this don't know it

  • Nice one, bro, reminds me of Southern Africa. He was such a gift to us all. Hamba Kahle madoda
