Predictable, loud, crass yet not at all edgy but about 2/3 racist, Don Rickles is a deplorable has been that should have been a "never was", that essentially is just coasting on the fumes of the fact that one day long ago he sort of kind of knew great entertainers. Fuck him.

Don Rickles is probably the most quick-witted comedian I can think of. I wouldn't say THE greatest, but definitely up there.

I don't like when he does the same jokes over and over, like the cookie one or how he always hugs the guests on a talk show and ignores the host.

Here is a comic genius. His timing, comebacks, and his sharp wit are impeccible. Unfortunately, a few people simply don't understand his type of "insult" humor. He has been a headliner for over 50 years and is practically an American institution. To watch him still perfoming and as razor sharp as ever is a total joy for me and millions of his fans. @pappukumar420 Dude, Don Rickles kind of insult humor is far more different from any insult humor you'll ever hear today: no cussing no below the belt, stab at your back kind of insult. It takes a certain amount of wit in you to be successful in the insult stand up genre without resorting to dirty words and overt amounts of cussing. Or heavy below the belt in your face attacks.

@pappukumar420 Don's kind of humor is what made him very successful. And very few comics who share the same kind of humor as Don's didn't have the same longevity and success that Don has. And in terms of wit I have seen Don (on videos here) go head to head with some of the wittiest there ever lived (and much wittier than Dave I might add) and he always comes out on top. And Don's humor is overrated? And in terms of wit, Dave doesn't stand a chance against Johnny Carson or Craig Ferguson.

I've never seen Letterman have this much fun with a guest. One of the rare times he seems to be genuinely laughing and enjoying every second of it. I bet he feels like a mischievous kid again in the presence of the school principal.

I have been looking at a lot of videos on here on Don Rickles. I love the Dean Martin roasts. What i think is great is that he makes jokes about all creeds and religions but is not racist or dirty in anyway. So many of todays comics try to shock, but this guy is genuinely funny and entertaining withotu resorting to being nasty or spitefull.
