cool images! I read a review of yours on b+h for the Sigma 17-50mm F2.8 EX DC OS HSM Zoom Lens for Canon DSLRs with APS-C Sensors. You shoot this with that? You still happy with it? Congrats from a fellow Bay Area filmmaker!
@BenZolno hi thanks for the comments! This was shot on a t2i w/ a Canon 50mm f1.4 and Tokina 11-16 (for the wideshots), and it was shot by my friend. I just happen to be the main subject :). The Sigma 17-50 is awesome. It's on my dslr the most since I got it. I only swap it for a prime when I am in a dark setting as I shoot in low light a lot. I would say it's worth getting for video as it has a great range! Subscribe to our channel, we have some vids that will be posted that use this lens
@arthurwoo hilarious. Those are the exact lenses I'm considering buying. Just bought the Sigma 70-200 2.8 stabilized, will compare it to the Canon I'm holding on to for a friend. I def want to buy those other 3 lenses though! congrats
@BenZolno nice! i've only been filming for a couple of months, but it seems like the tokina 11-16, one prime (30mm or 50mm) and a 70-200 with IS/OS are the only ones that are needed for a full range. The reason why I got the 17-50 was for a general run n gun lens if I didn't have the time/space to carry all my gear w/ me. I've actually found within the 17-50 range I prefer having a prime when shooting in a controlled situation because the quality and the 1.4 instead of 2.8 aperture
@arthurwoo cool! I got the Sigma 70-200, Tamron 17-50 which I think I'll replace with the Sigma, because the controls spin the opposite way of the sigma. I'll get a 50mm I guess, but as a doc dude I think I'll only use it for controlled settings, as mentioned. Also, eventually that Tonkina, but the cash starts to look like serious dough after a while...
@BenZolno Yeah documentaries 17-50 and 70-200 should cover 90% of your needs I think. I've been shooting a lot over the past few months since I started, and found that I only use my prime when I am in low light situations. During daylight the Sigma works really great even on a neutral camera setting. I have the Tokina and it comes in handy as well especially if you like massive shots of land/cityscapes
Thank you for letting me be a part of this. I have fond memories of Arthur Woo's grandmother who was very kind and loving to us when we were in high school.
This is absolutely a brilliant tribute! Love this!!!

Reminds me of EBTG. Maybe it's just the vocal.
