I dropped William S. Burroughs in there, Could be relevant to your interests if you like William S. Burroughs you will probably dig Philip K. Dick visa-versa.
I don't think they did that scene, Maybe to controversial (it(the word marijuana) wouldn't go over the heads of most people, unlike the rest of the movie ;D).
You can get away with saying a Hell of Allot using "Substance D", A hypothetical/non-existent drug.
I've been meaning to buy the book, But I've been skint for a long time, Dieing to read it.
I usually don't pay heed to tags, But I felt this piece goes unrecognized for it's awesomeness.
Because studios like to leach copyright laws for all they are worth to the extent of abusing your right to the work of which you have purchased(yes I own the DVD), I will not disclose the origin of the audio(in an obscene manor anyway) If you don't know where it's from PM me and I'll tell you.
i loved this movie.

I own it. And it's a work of art. The end of the movie is what scares me the most since it's reality. Or better put, it's becoming reality.
I need to buy the book...

"Scanner Darkly" is one of my favorite P.K. Dick books.
I was actually surprised that they did a decent job with it.
I forget, did they have the whole bit with the; "Automaton made of marijuana" crossing the border saying;
"I have nothing to declare" in the movie?
'Cause that was a classic scene in the book.
