  • hear the sweds talk about war :P

  • the most important factor in determinng a battle is mobility. it allows you to attack from a position of strength. if your not mobile, your dead.

  • Ok, I have decided to buy one! Where can I find the car dealer? Does it have ACC and stereo?

  • lol what a mess 4:20

  • 05:00 onwards,that was tough eh.

  • the cv90 is made by sweds

  • CV 90 really is the greatest IFV in the world. they are extremely easy to drive to. Ive never got stuck when i drove a CV 90 during "lumpen".

  • yeah when the CV works it's probably pretty good, but when a electronical failure strikes. Then it's worthless. I'm a conscript in FDF on the BMP2 course. Officers in the armour brigade say that the BMP-2 is sometimes even better than the CV.(Finnish Defence Forces have both the BMP-2 and the CV 90.), but when it comes to technology the CV90 is of course far superior. Next year though we will try to fit the CV's nightvision and thermal cameras on the BMP-2 and upgrade the armor.

  • "Next year though we will try to fit the CV's nightvision and thermal cameras on the BMP-2 and upgrade the armor."

Do you happen to have a source or something, I'd like to read a bit more about this. Any language is fine.

  • Inside information from the finnish armour brigade :)

  • Inside information, or mulliradio? There were a lot of similar rumors floating around when I was in the army in 1997-98.

  • You can't say it's the greatest because it hasn't seen much battle. A good contender to the CV is the BMP-3. It has clearly far better firepower. 100mm and 30mm cannons plus 3 coaxil MG's. So I wouldn't be so sure about that "CV is the greatest IFV in the world" anymore =)

  • I don't see it as a contender at all. About twice as many weapons as are needed. Only the 30mm and the missiles are worth anything against other vehicles and even then the cannon can't handle the newer IFVs. I'd lose the 100mm gun and make room for more ammunition or a larger main weapon than the 30mm.

According to legend (probably not true), the only reason the BMP-3 originally got the 100mm gun was so that they could use up of the old otherwise obsolete 100mm ammunition they had lying around.

  • When I said it's not a contender, I didn't mean to imply that the weapons are the only reason. I haven't checked the stats in almost a decade, but last time I did, its armor was well below any modern IFV's, the power-to-weight ratio was slightly lower than the CV 9030's and the performance (penetration@distance) of the best 30x165 rounds was half that of the 30x173.

  • shure you can have alot of guns but tht means shit if the enemy has good armour and can coordinate and gain intellegence on you

  • Well of course IFV's got no chance if they face MBT's. But I think two big guns are better than one atleast if you face dug in infantry.

In Gulf War a BMP-1 knocked out a Bradly with its 73mm cannon.

  • ye but how many bradley outflanked and manuvered to take out bmp-1's cuz after the war there were none left

  • lmao i love 4:20

  • beautiful snow :)
