When I got into Pokemon, I had Japanese cousin who were nice enough to buy me the Japanese Red AND Yellow version before they hit American soil. So let me just say...original Lavender Town music was unnerving for me as a little kid. The effects are simple, if you're listening to the original Red / Green version of Lavender Town, you'd hear two frequencies on headphones, one having up to a 30Hz difference, creating these BINAURAL beats. These can cause headaches - and for some people, nausea, but they've never been..

IRL this happened to me:

One time I was all alone in my apartment. I heard ambulances from the outside and apparently someone died.

2 days later I heard this song as a joke. Later when I went to sleep, the person who died appeared in my dreams but never said anything to me! Fucking creepy. Team Rocket went in the place, hoping to get some Cubone from Mr. Fuji, a Pokemon orphanage head. On the way, they literally KILLED the Cubone's mother, Marowak. Essentially, her spirit doesn't pass on without your help.
