@burtonsnowboarder09 distortion ha ha but not that much...... dunno what you have for an amp but it should have a distortion or reberb switch if not you'll need a peadle they arn't much for a Boss one. I have a question you are learning on a fender? I'm not knocking it just thinking I would never go that expesive at first I've been playing for close to 20 years and I just bought my les paul a year ago........ more expensive is not always better and that goes double for effects

To play this like the original you will need amp with only "good" overdrive.

I've tried this on my friends Squier Statocaster and my Les Paul Custom. Not THAT big difference. Too easy and too simple riff to make huge difference.

No they didn't, They wrote the Techno version, Marylin Manson wrote the metal version,

The Eurythmics did the original, 'La Bouche' had a techno song called Sweet Dreams but it's not related. This version is the Marilyn Manson cover which I'd call Industrial not metal.. Either way this version is far better then the original and once you know this riff you pretty much know the whole song. The chorus is just some basic power chords all down strummed.

Sorry guys you are mistaken. This "techno" song is actually new-wave/pop, and the Eurythmics did write it as "sweet dreams" released January 21, 1983 on their second album/May 5, 1983 as its own single. Covers are awesome and essential to learning how to rock but as a musician myself I would go nuts if some other person/band was thought to have created my original song. Also "La Bouche" is a band. Its all rock n' roll history fella's!
