Muslims (I am also Sunni Muslim, btw) denounce The NOI (Nation of Islam) (Denounce as in we don't claim it to be a form of Islam) because it glorifies one race...among other reasons. During the '60s, '70s, '80s, etc., using children to obtain welfare checks, AFDC benefits is a major part of the economy in the inner-city. For decades the inner-city has been an area with high unemployment, especially pertaining to black men with criminal records. This is not to make excuses for the NOI, because there is no excuse.

This was after a fallout between him and Elijah Muhammad regarding some of Malcolm's statements. It was this group that eventually gunned him down

@ArtistBet With the Nation of Islam, they provided up until he said what he said about Kennedy's assassination in 64, I believe, then he was suspended indefinitely. Alex Haley who composed the autobiography of Malcolm X promised to pay loyalties after Malcolm decided they were for him instead of the Nation. He created the MMI Muslim Mosque Incorporated which provided some money but, mostly he got some from his sister Ella I believe when he was departed from the Nation of Islam NOI.

@KendrickRobbie You're welcome. There are about 73 sects of Christianity and about 6 differect sexts of Islams. Muslims (I am also Sunni Muslim, btw) denounce The NOI (Nation of Islam) (Denounce as in we don't claim it to be a form of Islam) because it glorifies one race...among other reasons. Nonetheless, Malcolm was still Muslim.

There's Sunni, Shi'a, Sufi, and Ahmaddiya (Correction, I said six, I can only recall four major types of Islam- sorry!) I put them in order from most popular (Sunni being the most popular form of Islam) To Ahmaddiya Muslims being the least popular. I'll try to give you a concise summary of each, if this isn't satisfying there is always Google lol. Sunni- (You, Malcolm and I) adherents of the Sunna. Sufi- The mystical Muslims. Though

@KendrickRobbie . Though Sufi Muslim's are still apart of the Umma, (the Muslim Community) They claim a oneness with Allah, which doesn't sit well with most Muslims. (DISCLAIMER- Sufi muslims and all other muslims resist labels because it devides Muslims!) Ahmaddiya- They believe that the Mahdi/ Messiah returned in India back in 1835. It was some guy who claimed to be Jesus. Again, this does not sit well with most muslims. Shi'a Muslims- (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong at any point)

In the old testament, angels spoke with men on occasions in the scriptures. Reading the Koran, he speaks at a level of trying to guide his nation, yet also wage war. The belief in Mohammedism comes from a nation needing an identity. Its unfortunate that clearly this man was hyper spiritual-meaning he would come up with what you call visions to give himself a divine image in the peoples eye, the text of his writings were not accurate, and mosques are still teaching that he was a prophet.

Mohammed, not islam, Is at best a historical figure in context of liberating a nation and uniting it. Now the understand of his trancs state talking to angels statement can at best be due to the direction that was posed on him to guide spiritually, yet people actually believe that. Understanding the times, mohammed studied the old testament,"the Torah" and as you read the koran you find references toward those texts. Which can conclude that alot of his direction is from that book.

@RealRapAndHiphp There had to be a perfect human being to carry the punishment of all humans. No prophet was without sin and if one would sin just once, he would only get his punishment for that sin. Jesus did not sin, so He could carry our punishment. Jesus walked on earth as one of us. Yet He says: I was before Abraham, I am the Alpha and Omega, The Beginning and End. All things are created through Jesus. Jesus is 100% God, 100% human. The miracle of how this can be is wonderful, not untrue.
