  • excellent

  • Unbelievable! I don't think there are many people really who could play it like that. How cool would it be though to be able to sit down and play that. My guitar teacher used to play it every time the Montreal Canadians got knocked out of the playoffs, haha. Anyway, promptly put into my faves. Thanks

  • Amazing work.

  • Definitely one of the best versions on YouTube.

  • It amazes me that Mr. Feeley somehow escapes the consciousness of the general public when it comes to great classical guitarists of the world.

  • beautiful arrangement very Segovia flavored. The master would approve!

  • Bravo, this is great! A Segovia like interpretation with wonderful tempo. The sound on this clip is excellent and reproduces everything that you give the guitar. Wonderful!!! JSB would love this rendition and upon hearing it he would write something even more difficult, just for you! I too have white tape markers at the tones on my guitars, you encourage me to go on. Thank you!

  • Superb and sublime!

  • Beautiful. Where would one purchase this arrangement?

  • One word: wonderful :)

  • he looks like victor meldrew

  • @MrBlindmans :)

    Also a future John Malkavich?

  • Wonderful! Thank you!

    wonderful Play thank you !!

  • wow.wow.wow. 13 minutes of perfection. John Feeley my hat is permanently off to you sir. Makes me proud of my Irishness - a rare thing!

    Absolutely stunning.

  • thanks for sharing this. really enjoyed this.

    Best wishes...

    Kevin

  • what kind of guitar is that... im am quite fond of it.

  • superb!!!

  • if only i could play it like him

  • Eliot Fisk can play this in under 8 mins. It's not very good though.

  • Parkening's version has always been my favorite. Now I have this at joint first place! Absolutely spectacular and it feels great to be able to say that about an Irish player. Beautiful sound as well. Does anyone know what kind of guitar he plays?

  • Great!

  • the only issue, is the ending should not have the clapping ... it takes away from the .... WOW that was awesome ... the clapping was forced, not organic ... everything else ... Segovia himself would be Proud!

  • A guitar that is truly in the service of this masterpiece that is vast likt the sky.

  • Never heard from John Feeley, but now I know better. It looks so easy, though it's so terribly difficult to play. Like a machine gun, merciless, but amazingly well-directed, if I might say so :-/

My absolute favourity piece of Bach's in a real master's hand. I've listened to it at least a millions of times but still can't believe it's a human being that composed this incredible piece that seems to be never-ending but still couldn't miss a single note! Absolutely satisfying at the final chord!

  • amazing

  • awesome!

  • Fantastic PLaying :) !

  • @ The language my friend is Esperanto introduced to the world by Dr.L.L.Zamenhof in 1887.It is known as the International Language which, if the big powers used their intelligence could be taught and used as an auxillary language to communicate with all others on the Planet. This would de-necessitate the need for all of us to try and learn a multitude of other languages. It would also save the expenses for many translations from one language into another.

  • @bilstew Dankon!

Sorry, my english it's not good...

  • @frangdelsolar Ciao Mia amiko,The iideology of Esperanto is TOTALLY INCLUSIVE of ALL LANGUAGES .Esperantists do not confine themselves to one language. If they can speak Italian to Italianos this is good. If they also speak French,German,Turkish..... good also. Esperantistos use Esperanto to communicate when faced with la problema of not knowing each others language. The big idea however is to learn, know and use Esperanto as an auxillary language. Please type in Esperanto Language on Youtube.

  • very nice !!master piece and guitarist!!

  • Muito bom!!!!!!

  • It is the best guitar performance in the chaconne which I know.

  • Lovely playing of his own arrangement of this famous Chaconne. A beautiful crisp performance, one of the best I have heard of this piece as arranged for guitar. I can manage to play about five minutes of it myself from an arrangement by Segovia but have never got round to learning it in its entirety. Watching this will take me back to the music with an effort to finish learning it. Thanks for the upload.

    Respect!

  • The poetry in this performance, the superb technique and the haunting power of Bach, and in a church, where he would have been happy I think to have heard this. Bravo!

  • Yes, the best video for Bach's Chaconne by guitar I ever heard, especially high-minded and deep sound is like Joseph Szigeti!!
