In Japan, M. Bison is the name of the Boxer character. Balrog is the name of the claw-using character and Vega is the name of the dictator character. Everyone is sick of explaining this so make an effort to fucking LEARN next time okay?

@blueyesdevil1 In the original Japanese version of SF 2, Bison, Vega, and Balrog's names were all switched. Bison was originally Vega, Vega, was originally Balrog, and Balrog was originally M.Bison. Since Balrog's design was to mimic Mike Tyson, (M.Bison that's why the name is so similar.) they would have to pay Mike Tyson himself to use his likeness in America. That's why in Japanese versions of SF games their names will appear how they were meant to.

@regeice Actually they changed the name because they (Capcom USA) were fearful of Mike Tyson suing them. In the end, they didn't have to pay him anything, but kept the naming conventions.
