Didn't really think I would tear up whilst saying goodbye yesterday when after all it's only for a few weeks, but what probably set me off was that I wanted to hug someone that I'm very fond of, and when she saw that I was about to do this she held out her hand to shake mine (it was more gentle and subtle rejection than what I've experienced in the past). I daresay some are just stricter or more lenient than others about the confounded rule. It wasn't her fault but I did feel quite let down.
Somebody at college did express her concerns about my weight. I'm five foot six and a quarter in height - somewhat tall for a female - and found out just last night that I now weigh just six and a half stone. That's quite a drastic change in short time. Once I'm back into my college routine then perhaps I'll grow fatter and rosier, but then again I did only break up yesterday ...
How I wish real families were like this. It would be ideal to be part of a family where everybody loved everybody. I would like to be hugged more, but I just have to seek affection elsewhere if I'm not even capable of loving my family. Summer holidays make me lonely and sad because I have to say goodbye to people at college (even for just a few weeks). But I have more social contacts this year than I did last, so these holidays will surely be better than last ... I'm glad of that.
What's the title of the song? I really love it... ^_^ ... Claire and Kirsten were so CUTE!!!..weeeee....hehe. They are still now... ^_^ .. lovely ladies.. Go CLAIRE! Go KIRSTEN! ^_^
Beautiful movie, Winona and Kirsten were amazing - Susan S is simply the best too & Christian B was an incredible Laurie even though he looks nothing like the book's character but Claire D was a really bad choice for lovely Beth
When I was little this was one of my favorite movies and I guess that my love for this movie/book brought me to the love I feel now for Jane Austen's work and afcorse the litrature of the Brönte sisters !
One thing I feel sad about this movie is that Beth( Claire Danes) died in the end by catching some kind of deadly diseace, which was a shame becauce all the other girls ended up finding their loves and got married.
Very Nice!! I'm a little fanatical in regard to this movie. I've bought it about three times in fact. I've got the storybook for the movie, but I haven't read the actual novel though. I've seen the Broadway show as well.
la verdad que la cancion no tiene mucha concidecia con las imagenes pero esta muy bonita ademas creo que las que estaban ahi son:winona rider clair danes kristin dunts

i saw the older black and white version f this movie before and i read the bok but i didn't even know there was a movie this recent...what year did this come out? ? i wanna watch...so like you kno if anyone happens to upload it yu know don't forget me! ! ! love this story ! ! !
This movie was released in 1994. I imagine you would be able to find it at a video rental place pretty easily. It was an excellent adapation of the book! I've never seen the 1949 version, but I really want to someday.
I wouldn't be able to sit through this, but I can appreciate it. What us guys have to understand is that as brothers we like to drink beer and play chess or watch sports, while women like to lie in bed and read together. Neither behaviour is better than the other and we have to respect that.
Lol we like to read together. I'm not flaming you or anything it's just a funny comment.
I have 3 sisters, 1 younger, 1 older, 1 is my twin and we don't like beer but we drink pina coladas watch the broncos game and build a bonfire in the backyard. I think people used to read together before television haha.
The book has been adapted into a Broadway play. I saw it in 2005, but I wouldn't really recommend it. I love Little Women, I just don't think it translated into a play very well.
I was named after Beth and Amy (that's my middle name) but my mum thinks I'm more like Jo. So I might call my daughter Josehpine Margaret, if I ever have a daughter of course.
There is nobody like Claire Danes.

Excellent movie, though I don't like the girl who played Beth. I don't think she gave the character justice.
