It is claimed by the companies that sell them that they are selling a fully functioning ecosystem with the shrimp and the algae keeping each other alive. However, that is a lie, which is being told by these companies for the sake of profits. These shrimps are slowly starving to death, suffocating and being poisoned in those containers, due to lack of food and oxygen. It takes 1-3 years for Hawaiian Red Shrimp to die, since it has such a remarkable physiology to deal with extreme situations.
@keblerelf1 there isn't actually enough evidence to support the claim, and also your sources may be biased. but it does seem difficult for such large organisms to survive comfortably in such a small environment,
@keblerelf1 Did you copy/pasta that from another vid? because its word for word with what someone else said. Either way you are a fucking retard. Not every one of these were bought, you can MAKE these from scoops of water, plants, etc from a pond. There is no way for you to know if the shrimp is starving. I looked up where everyone is getting this information, from ONE website made by shrimp fanboys. These shrimp live in messed up areas naturally. If these things are suffering who really cares?
the guy sneezing was between 15-20 meters away (45-60 feet)... There are animals than when afraid of the presence of a predator go still.
Recent studies present the theory that worms get out of the earth during rain because they fear the vibration of the rain is the same as the one produced by moles.
@brobro19922 that would be the logical reasoning but the vibration theory exists. I can't paste the link, try googling (or binging) "worms rain vibration"

If you drill a tiny hole in the top it will live much longer... In those spheres they only live about a year or less.

I used a canon G9 and I think that the image stabilization was on. I also used a video quality that allowed me to get as much FPS as possible.
