It will only charge off usb. you could get a usb wall adapter.

does yours charge with the ac adapter when the computer is turned off

I'm just using the usb cable connected to the computer and not using the AC adapter. I imagine it should charge off the AC if the computer is off.

by the way does the original apple dock adapter say for example iphone or ipod fits the Griffin Simplifi ?

ok simple,does the dock adapter that came with your wife's ipod nano fits in to the "hole" of the Griffin Simplifi ?

Thanks. I just double checked and the Apple dock adapter that came w/the iPod Nano does fit the Griffin Simplifi.
