can you please show us how to use the neatgear dual band wireless usb adapter for xbox because i waisted 50 dollars on it and i regret it because it dosent work please reply
It comes down to doing the wiring yourself at $20 or so for the cable to their $100+ solution (with caveats). I will go with a 75 ft CAT5e cable,, tried and true!
I have a question, I have a D-Link DWA 625 N Router downstairs and 2 Netgear Powerline 4 Port Ethernet routers 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs.
A few days ago I went to our local Tiger Direct store to pickup a new wireless router a Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router (WNDR3700).
I thought cents the N600 (WNDR3700) was a Netgear product I could hook it up to the 4 port Netgear Powerline. And get internet access from the DWA 625 D-Link Router.
@signal6000 That could be accurate, the performance can depend on the quality of your electrical lines. If you live in an old home, its possible. Also, did you try different outlets? sometimes particular outlets work better than others.
This video doesn't really talk any bit about the technical limitations of the Netgear Powerline adapters. Even the host of the video just chooses to name drop services you can use once you've got an Internet connection to these web-connected devices. I'd like to hear throughput information, compatibility requirements, etc. These videos look like they're designed for the consumer audience, but what consumer is going to sit down and YouTube search for Netgear product, or any other tech firm?
@joshyj2 Do you mean a power strip or power block? If so, then it is recommended to plug the adapters into the wall socket. Some adapters have a pass through. That allows you to plug a power strip in. Check out the AV+ Powerline adapters. NTGR has both a 200 and 500 mbps versions.
