  • Thanks so much for this !! Ringo go ... the first metal headbanger xx

  • Man how can u not get excited?

  • Gotta love Paul's vocals on these songs! Like wow! So freakin' exciting to watch!

  • Gotta love Paul's vocals on these songs! Like wow! So freakin' exciting to watch!

  • they make me so fucking proud of them.

  • En Long Tall Sally, Ringo se emociono, al mismo tiempo también contagio de emoción al propio John, jajaja, me gusto, yo también me electrice, jajaja.

  • ..and John starred at Ringo every time he's drumming crazilly.. like cheered him up, "come on Ring..". I never saw John take a look at Ringo before..

  • @ugroseno Then you better YOUTUBE both the Washington concert and the Drop In swedish TV program.

  • Please someone tell Ringo not to kill the drums.

  • damn look at ringo this is his best drawing

  • Thank you for this! Many say their best filmed performance was the Shea Stadium concert. I say this one is as good if not better. They are on FIRE and are shreddding it LIVE! Another reason why they were and always will be the best musical group in history. Who can do this today even with more advanced technology? No one.

  • Yes. Beatles moving and Ringos drumming put it

  • Ringo great drumming pure Rock'n'Roll drummer

  • The Beatles look like they were having fun at this concert! Ringo was really getting into it with his drumming!

  • これが。rock ’n’ roll。文句なしの。rock ’n’ roll。

  • john said he did like doing solo's he did it in long tall sally in this video

  • I just watched The Rolling Stones perform at this same concert. After seeing The Beatles, my opinion is that The Fab Four absolutely DESTROYED their London counterparts. Just shredded them to pieces. Between George's PERFECT guitar breaks (the solo he does on "Can't Buy Me Love," for instance, is almost identical to the one in the recorded studio version), Paul AND John's harmonies and lead vocals (Never seen a better "Twist and Shout" or "Long Tall Sally")

    (CONTINUED)

  • @giligara30492

... and Ringo's perhaps GREATEST live performance behind a drum kit (in "Long Tall Sally," he seemed to be possesed - almost like he wanted to destroy his drums), it's no wonder Mick Jagger inducted The Beatles into the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame in 1987 (and not the other way around). The Stones were great, of course, even legendary, but this Liverpool band will always be THE greatest Rock Band in history.

  • @giligara30492 But wait you didn't mention Ringo's drumming in LTS. I mean the dude is a beast. Look at the combinations he's doing at the end of LTS MY god!!

  • @butterp7

I did mention it! Look at the continuation of my comment, which begins, precisely, "... and Ringo's perhaps GREATEST live performance behind a drum kit."

  • The ones who voted "no" must be truly not cool, boring, lame people.

  • 2:01 is pure magic, makes you wanna be in a band for the rest of your life

  • I hate it when they get called a group.

  • lol paul sticks his toung out like a lizard at 0:47 lol

  • The best part is between 0:01 and 5:04.

  • 1:05 with ringo headbanging and john dancing really fast was the moment for me.

  • the beatles pwned the hollies

  • George Harrison's solo was amazing. The Beatles destroyed the Stones at the NME concerts

  • Camp Bobby Love

  • Wow. this "Long Tall sally" sure was a tidal wave

  • Paul McCartney stole the show. What a great singer, what a voice. Wow!!!

  • they're so bloody amazing. if wish there was more music like this nowadays.

  • a great performance showing their true live power !!

  • Heck yeah The Beatles were the loudest! And the audience went crazier for them. I have to say though that yes Keith Moon was a great drummer and incredibly fast, but so was Ringo Starr, plus we shouldn't forget that his drumming style influenced everybody in the later 60's!

  • What a voice!!! Incredible

  • wow!! Is this the first live recorded version of John taking a guitar Solo? ( 1st Solo? on "Sally"??)

Pretty wild. Pauls' vocal is imPOSSibly high & Soulful...LOOve the scream at 3.54 in "Love"... and George's solo kicks butt....on a 12 -String, no less!!! Looked like they were havin' a LOT of fun here- considering they likely couldn't hear too much over all the damn screaming!! THis klip shows definitively what a GREAT live band they were, under tough conditions. TOOO Much!!

  • los mas grandes de la historia musical mundial "THE BEATLES ".

  • he's no keith moon, however

  • @vagabondrecon : You can also saying that Roger Daltrey is no Paul McCartney.

You can also saying that Keith Moon is no Buddy Rich

  • @TheQuipetro It`s unfair to compare Roger Daltrey to somebody like Paul McCartney. Paul had more talent. He was a GREAT singer, songwriter, musician and artist. Daltrey is a very good singer, but he can`t play an instrument, nor can he write songs. Paul McCartney is a genius!

  • They all seem to have put their instruments forward for this concert - So great!!

  • Thank yo. Thank yo very mooch.

  • Nice to see Harrison playing 12 string all through the concert

  • seems that ringo had a musical orgasm in long tall sally

  • the definition of Rock and Roll

  • holy crap.

  • Go Ringo!

  • Wow! Sir Paul doing some of his early rockin' best! What great video clip! What a joy to see them all looking and sounding so good! Thank you for posting!

  • do you see the jelly babies flying :)

  • Who are these guys? They're going to be big! Somebody, anybody, get me EMI on the phone. I found the next Radiohead.

  • Wow.

  • @Gyphia - Yeah, didn't you know..?

  • Beatles = Emperors of Music!!

  • 3:54 = (insert clever word to describe paulie) ;]

  • This might be their best performace of Long Tall Sally that I've ever seen. I love how John was mouthing the words, and then Paul bowed to George as he started his solo. Then Ringo was just destroying his drum kit, and John was egging him on. Brilliant.

  • @freklfacejpgr: *performance

  • @freklfacejpgr Hellacious!!! That solo is on a Rick 12string..a Fireglow 360 and the second one ever made........

  • But what about Paul? He's just playing and singing his ass off. That is what's great about the Beatles, there"s just no egos here, they perform as what Mick Jagger said: " the four headed monster:"......and they blew evreyone else away.....

  • HAHAHAHAHA GO RINGO GO!!!

  • Ringo's drumming is awesome

  • Ringo-one of THE BEST EVER -not flashy but everything he did was perfect.

  • RINGO = BEASTTTT!!!!!!!!!!

  • Does anybody knows where the concert was at? Thanks,

  • i still fully believe that Ringo invented and influenced the headbang!! GO RINGO!!! THE BEATLES ROCK!!! XD <3333

  • @XanaduZune you're right you know nothing bout drumming

  • @XanaduZune

You have your opinion , but if you really believe what you say then you really have absolutely no knowledge on drumming. Ringo could not hear a note of what the other 3 are playing here, no stage monitor speakers in 1964. His drumming is absolutely spot on. Set this to a metronome. He is rightly regarded now as possibly the most innovative and versatile rock/pop drummer ever. Ask Nicko McBrain, he'll tell you that as will Phil Collins..and they DO know about drumming.

  • @XanaduZune Oh love, you have no clue. Perhaps Sir George Martin (Beatle extraordinaire ) can enlighten you: “One of the best things about Ringo was how he flowed, he listened to his pals and picked up the tempo. His playing, when you hear him working with Paul on bass and the other guys on guitars, has soul. It was just remarkable.” AND "Ringo has established himself with a sound that was quite unique and is the best rock drummer in the world." June, 2011 to the Las Vegas Sun.

  • ..the boys getting into it. the boots, the tossing of hair, the bowing, and Paul. the young brits when they was fab.

  • you can always tell when john is into pauls performance when he's mouthing the words as paul sings -also paul will mouth the words when john's doing a rocker-

  • John plays the first solo in Sally.

  • @Chars13x ...HELL FUCKIN' YES!!!

  • can only imagine what these guys would have been like to see in hamburg fueled with preludin and alcohol.

  • @jaywemm ..WOOOOOW! Get me a Time Machine!!

  • Play that guitar George!

  • wow! check out ringo @ 2:00

  • really well executed solo by george in long tall sally. perfect in the form.

  • @andrewcasarsa ...the first solo was done by John.

  • @heidibear76 ...of course it was but where as John pretty much keeps to the same structure for his solo George improvises alot on his...and this particular performance George really nailed one!

  • yeah,..i reckon they got a future too....not to sure if they will brake the USA though....

  • These kids have talent. I think they are going places. :-)

  • Pretty good set. Preceding this in the first YouTube clip was She Loves You, You Can't Do That and Twist & Shout.

Thanks so much NYRainbow for posting this.

  • The Ed Sullivan Show performances were pretty tame compared to this! Amazing energy from the Fab Four. Thanks for uploading!

  • beatles the best

  • Another perfect example of just how much the British LOVED American Rock -n-Roll.

  • And by turnabout how those great British band influenced the American bands that followed-and indeed they still do to an extent. :)

  • Great to see this whole show; too bad John's guitar isn't louder, but beggars can't be choosers as live Beatles footage goes!

  • No one like the beatles

  • Not true. Lots of people like the Beatles. :o)

  • I meant that like, " there is no one like the beatles" Im complimenting them

  • I know - it was a joke. I was deliberately misinterpreting your words: hence the smiley face. In future I'm going to add "this is a joke" after everything I post on YouTube.

  • Gooood!!!! They were goooooooooooooooood!!!!!!!!!!

    (Joder que eran buenos!!!!)

  • interesting to see George playing the Ric 12 the entire show instead of a random song like most concerts from this era. Love that sound!

  • oh my gawd the enthusiasm of them all

gotta love all their rocking out!

  • Ringos drumming was great in this concert,

  • @Voxac100b Ringo's drumming is great at any concert

  • The Greatest Musical Group in history.

  • I'd still go down the pub to see them even now........fantastic!!

  • Anyone know how much power their apmplifiers had???????

  • Those particular VOX amplifiers were 50 watts. When they went to Shea in 1965 they had 100 watt amps

  • They used Vox 30, 50, 100 Watts and by the time they went Candlestick Park in 1966 the super Beatle model used with an output of 120W. The loudest recorded concert PA wattage was Atlanta in 1965 with 5000W. They were using the 100W model by Holywood Bowl in 1964 the 100W were not specifically made for the Shea concert,

  • See my reply to TheBandTheBeetles

  • Damn thanks nyrainbow!!!!

  • Yeh. Oooh n sore drums,man...

  • I'ne never seen Lennon that animated during a performance. He is ROCKIN!

  • I've been watching all of the NME performances that you have graciously uploaded. I love them all but I can really see why the Beatles stood out in the crowd. No one can touch them. So much fun to watch and listen to. They were truely the best.

  • Ringo rules in this video

  • I'd love to know what kept them from going deaf and/or insane during this period.

  • why isn this and the 1965 concert not released on d.v.d officially???? i'd like to have it and "let it be" before i die.......lol

  • A damn shame all that energy was gone from the live shows by the end of '65.

  • this is a great vid - you can tell that the beatles still got a kick out of live performance in 64.

i think the 65 nme video tells a different story.....far less energy in that one.

  • Amazing!!!!!!!!

  • McCartney has such a great voice for singing rock and roll songs

  • Los beatles son unicos!!!No tienen comparacion.

  • Love that Ric 12 string.

  • This video is so cool!

I love seeing stuff like this, it makes my day.

and I love seeing them have fun like that, look at Ringo go!

& The way Paul says "originry" is super cute.

    Love the Beatles!
