I think this movie is more of a childrens movie. It is scarry at some parts but I expected non anamated triffids. If I were to direct this movie I'd make triphid anamatronics.

I loved the subtlety and perfect mid 20th C britishness about day of the Triffids, the intelligence and all that (if you've read the book you'll get it)

I don't think this film conveys any of this, it stinks of cheap laughs and the subtlety of Rambo with ADHD.

Sorry, the trailers kinda cool, and is actually good, it just shit's all over the whole point of the book

If you read the book, the issue of salt water was not there, the Triffids basically conquered the world. The salt water issue was a hollywood happy-ending tacked on.
