  • This is good stuff...not sure why the sudden change towards the industrial garbage. they could've done a few more releases like "with sympathy".

  • I think this just might be my favorite song of the 80's too.

  • what year was this out?

  • agreed 10000000000% this is the best of the 80s period

  • i used to see this version of ministry at club avalon in chicago in the late80's and early 90's!

  • whoever put effigy. thank you.

  • I like all Ministry

  • @Brim666coven I agree. If an artist doesn't evolve, you will get a nostalgia act.

  • el ministry casi actual es kmo la cagada de justin bieber ...

solo este album se salva ... el mejor

  • yeah, I agree...this is the real Ministry stuff!!!

  • You said it, Lalo3001!!!

  • And then they got metallic on us. Sigh.

  • I use to work at a night club called the Orbit Room in Chicago in the 80's. The bands, Ministry, and Thrill Kill Cult use to hang out there, also people from other bands would come in since a lot of Wax Traxx people were friends of everybody. The 80's WERE A GREAT TIME IN MUSICAL HISTORY. I really feel lucky to have been young then and been able to experienced it all.

  • yeah, I don't like the heroin Al.... I use to work at The Orbit Room, Al and his wife woud come in there and she'd take her clothes off she'd be so high.

  • yeah, I don't like the heroin Al....

  • HAYYYYYY!!!! :)

  • In the song "Thieves" at about 52 seconds in you can hear Al say "HEY!" much like he does in the beginning of this song

  • I remember the shock that I got when I went to see them in concert (not long after the release of this album) and they performed nothing but their harder edged material. Man I was so shocked and pissed off. I had to wonder whether I was seeing the same group. I was wondering what the hell happened to the group that played at the old Comiskey Park with Joan Jett, Flock of Seagulls, and the Police. Yes, they all played on that day. It was a concert no one there will ever forget. It was magical.

  • @Tjs964

I was at that concert! I was 13 years old!!! Ministry kicked ass that day...and Joan Jett got booed off stage. LMFAO

  • when I bought this LP, the lead from THE ALLEY( Rogers Park ,CHGO) many years ago, the lead singer was standing just feet from me!

  • fireball ministry is not this ministry

  • Al should be proud of this. It's great.

  • play this, then jesus built my hotrod..... these two songs can't be by the saem band.... :/

  • awesome song....MORE FANTASTIC ´80´s music at my channel!!! Take a look....

  • haaaaaaaaaaay!

  • This was such an anthem back in the day. This is the best Ministry except for Halloween ep. Great record.

  • GREAT eighties song!! didnt no that nminstry was so "harmless" lol

  • Untouchable ! so glad I grew up on Long island during this time when the radio station WLIR was known for being cutting edge with the new wave sound, recognized all the way to London,

  • @librachoke Me too! Ever check out the Subculture parties? You can hear all this music!

  • To me this, is the REAL Ministry.

As far as I'm concerned, Al Jourgensen can keep Jesus Built My Hot Rod. Later industrial Stuff really sucks. I'm sorry, but I'm no fan of their hard core Industrial, early-mid 90s stuff.

This song and all their early stuff is the real Shit!!!

  • @Lalo3001 AMEN,,,!!!!

  • @Lalo3001 their music was fantastic..what happen with them???...

  • @Lalo3001 I love all Ministry´s stuff but i still prefer their "heavy" era, this fuckin rocks tho

  • @Lalo3001 nonono just come out of the closet homo....

  • @michibieber98 You're calling me a Fag??? Hey, I'm not the one with "bieber" in his screen name. LOL!!!!

  • THRASH IS TRASH

  • someone needs to put up What He Say....

  • hahaha love it

  • Great, very great song. Long time no hear, heart starts pumping and making salto's!

  • i love this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is a good cd still worth buying but you will probally only find it online and early trax is also good

  • don't get me wrong, i mean i'm a moderate fan of newer ministry

but they could've rode this shit to the bitter end with their asses dragging and i would still be rockin to this shit!

why does al hate this so much...

  • OMG EPIC!

    ty LIGHTS!

  • I dont care if the original performers like this. This is the Shit. Fkn Love it. Great memories.

  • what the phuck happened to these dudes?

  • I'm guessing they only wanted to be associated with a less poppy sound with their harsher and more aggressive style from Twitch to present.

  • nice beat

  • It is their finest work.

  • "WORK!!!"..."for love"

Apparently none of the Ministry members (Jourgensen/Barker) don't even acknowledge this album anymore

  • @imdjc4 WHY????

  • With Sympathy from 1983 is a Rare Cd. I'm lucky to still have it. If you ever find it . I recommend Buy it because I don't think it's no longer in print.

  • @perpetual61 You can download it off of itunes or LALA. I lost my vinyl copy :p at least I can rock this on the ipod and computer.

  • @wonderfulhuman161 you can't in canada D:

  • @perpetual61 I still have this album on vinyl along with a 12" single of "I wanted to tell her". I cherish these :)

  • Ministry did this song? wow!! coolness.

  • wham toms twins sound---wow uncle Al goes from this to ----speed death metal whow WOW,,,rad contrasts,,,,weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Reminds me of My Apprentiship and the Summer of 83. Great to find a Copy on YouTube

  • Amazing beat, danced to this as a teen in Pasadena, CA at Marilyn's, good stuff...

  • What a great memory...Marilyn's Backstreet...cheers!!

  • @chimizklan Wow! Marilyn's on Lake St.!!!! I saw Thomas Dolby and Heaven 17 there! :) Very good times indeed.

  • Oh my goodness. I recorded this off the radio onto my cassette. I haven't listened to this song in years. Still a great beat! Thanks for the post.
