This has to be my favorite season of Survivor ever. Ozzy was a complete wonder to watch during his first run on the show, and Yul completely deserved to win the million.

damn ozzy !!! and i forgot how HOT jp was....and NATE!!! this was a hella good season. and even though there was so much controversy about being divided into races. i thought it was cool because it teaches that being in a group with your own race not always means you will work better together. miss this season most!

I've always liked this opening intro, and season overall...i just don't like that font the they used for their names starting with this season and on until fans vs faves..i love the current name font that is a lot more natural and classic looking!

@Ghawen I agree bro. I've seen ALL the survivor seasons, and I rate Cook Islands as the best season. It had it all - a great cast, lots of twists and turns, the underdogs prevailing against the odds, and in the end a worthy winner.

CI is generally considered to be one of the worst seasons by people who have watched Survivor since it started, or have watched all the seasons. Though the following season(Fiji) and the current one(Samoa) are very close to taking that mantle.

@SuperWillHatch What!? You didn't like Samoa? Madness. Samoa is my new ultimate favorite season and I haven't missed a season. Russ made it for me. After the merge he was able to take out the other tribe in an 8 to 4 disadvantage. And there were some of the best blindsides I've seen. The only downfall is that Natalie one.

I'm happy you liked it, it just didn't work for me. 20 people seasons are always flawed because there are too many people to keep track of. Too many people get ignored. Samoa had a few good moments, but I wanted to see more of everyone besides Russell. If he was so smart, he would have worked on getting the supposed idiots to vote for him.

I love the cook islands! Recently came back from a holiday in Rarotonga; we went on a day trip to the island where the new survivor was filmed- VERY COOL! (but kinda spooky)

I think Russ Landau used the same font as the Australian Survivor Series becuz i've seen that on another survivor intro. The best part is when it says 39 Days with the sunset. Also clips of Exile Island. Hope this season will be one of the best!
