1 thing INTEL (R) Duo proccessor ( windows xp ) so what you do is download it for LINUX not xp i has to be compatible for ubuntu linux so make sure u can download it for ubuntu
Yeah for the music, I pretty sure the problem is that you have no codecs for MP3. I used to use Ubuntu on a daily basis, but I got into Gaming so now I'm back on windows.
not all programs tend to work like a dream in wine, however if you have a problem with iTunes, you might wanna install virtual box and run windows virtually and work your iTunes in a virtual machine. also with terminal, its something you have to teach yourself, You have to get a book out or totorial to understand it,hopeihelp
I figured out that musicplayers won't work for me if I have something else that create sound. Like now I am on youtube. If I now opened Amarok and tried to start a song it would seem to start and then freeze, and refuse to play, and it will refuse to play until I close it and then closes firefox.
Thanks, yea the little research ive done myself i come to find out that itunes is horrible for ubuntu and noticed that there are other proggys for ipod ect. So what i did, i reformatted and put xp on a partition aswell as ubuntu on another and im doing well with that. ubuntu is still stumping me in alot of ways but until i figure out what and how to work everything ill use it as a second os. thanks for the feedback
i use it for my video ipod and it works just fine, but i'm pretty sure the touch's aren't supported. the terminal is just part of linux, there is not a way around it.
do you get sound in other music player programs? it could just be an issue with frostwire, or maybe the song had an error. itunes does not work well in wine (if at all). i have the same problem in the wine uninstaller, so i'm not sure how to fix it. ipod touch's, as far as i know, aren't very well supported in linux just yet. if you haven't already, download amarok (it's a great music player program) and it MIGHT be able to manage an ipod touch.
