  • rastadog live up!

  • @R5H4D0W Actually they're forefathers are the South russian Ovetchkin (?), a fierce sheepdog from Russia.

  • the bob marley of dogs

  • świetny jest ;-)

  • i was walking with my son at caddy lake, wpg,mb,and we thought we saw a bear,it was a sad lonely kom,all messed up in chains and ropes,we got him untied, and fell in luv,an ice cream van came about, and he enjoyed, for free, we had to pay,wow what a magnificient animal, found the owner, he had a few more chained to a tree, he asked if we would like to keep him,and i could not let him go, to chains again,so now he does enjoy an occasional cream.

  • These dogs are originally from Hungary, sometimes they have been fighting with wolfes so it was usefull to have hair like this. They are white so the shepherd could see them in the dark, even so some are black. We can find information in old codexes in Hungarian abour this dog from 1454.

  • i had one but living in vegas i shaved him- they look alot better that way anyway

  • Hey, what's with the walking shag couch?

  • THE LADY GAGA OF THE DOGS!

  • NATURE, YOU ARE SCARY...

  • hungarian dog

  • @belagiorgo yeah, prized that that too... Hungarians take great pride in authenticating this dog species for some off reason, I'm guessing it was an Hungarian creation of shephards to control sheep.

  • What happens if you drench this guy in soap and let him roll all over the floor..... NO MORE HAVING TO MOP THE FLOOR!!!!!!

  • @patricio6143 the puli is better for this use ;D If they get excited, they start spinnin around, too :)

    *Nitro*

  • little kid : Mommy daddy i didnt know we got a new mop

Mop (cough cough): Bark bark !!!

Little kid: OMG !!!! *runs away XD

    Puli:Laughing XD

  • I would like to know what should be the weight of a 10 months old komondor. I'm quite worried because my male komondor only weights 33 kg.

  • Ge tit out of his eyes:(

  • dreadlock dog indeed , only this rastaman can be very , very fast .

    natural talented property protector too.

    impressive animal.

  • Dreadlock dog!

  • Rastafarian dog

  • You mustn't cut his hear at his eyes, because his eyes are very sensitive, he can blind from the sun. I have a puli (similar to the komondor, but smaller), her hair is so long, but her eyes are very sharp. I don't know how, but her eyes are very good! :)

  • @timcsikebaba85 that's actually a myth, nothing happens if you cut the hair around a komondor's eyes, their eyes are like any other dog. If anything it helps them see better.

  • best dog to take with you to hunt lol camo'd

  • Oh my...owners have a nasty time everytime this bugger goes for number 2.

  • @UncleBobIsAngry they probably wrap and die the cords up = no problem

  • must be cool to become blind some months after birth

  • Is it just me or is this dog extremely spooky o_o

  • My first thought was '' Is that a mop? ''

  • can the dog even see?

  • @vickyboy96 Yes, he can

  • so cute!~

  • thats no dog thats a mop lol

  • How in the world does that poor dog see with his hair covering his face?

  • dreadlocks!

  • lol, you can hardly identify, wich side is front and wich is back^^

  • wow this dog has dread locks now i know what dog to get a rasta.

  • alter so ein hund tut mir leid was is das denn für ein schreckliges fell......das is echt eine doofe züchtung -.-

  • I've seen pit bulls get their asses kicked by Wolves, even young Wolves. So imagine a 60kg Komondor against a little 26kg pit bull with no protection.

  • @dexterpunk86 I know lol. People are always saying howpit bulls are the best fighting dogs. But how the hell is a pitbull going to even hurt a Komondor? Let alone kill it.

    Komondors have the advantages of:

    * Strength and size

    * Protection(the fur)

    * Strong bite

    * Fighting skills (for fighting wolves)

That's to all u pit bull fanboys, if any of you idiots see this.

If a Wolf can kill a pit bull and a Komondor can kill a wolf..........Use common sense guys.

  • @Tahlia350 I just dont see a Komondor killing a big wolf, maybe a coyote. ITs just wolves have very large teeth and claws they make any dogs teeth look puny in comparison and they have that mentality of not wanting to back down. And I realise they have a lot of hair but if something latches on to that hair and pulls it got to hurt. Maybe i'm wrong but i'd have to see proof to believe it. And yea I agree pitbulls are not the badest dogs.

  • @nikigurl08 A big Wolf? I got news for you, Komondors are much larger than Wolves on average. And they kill wolves in their homeland. A coyote is nothing compared to a LGD breed.

Not back down? Wolves back down pretty easily actually. They are not as "brave" as domestic dogs, they sometimes run away in the face of danger. Its natural for them to back away from a big threat. So they back down a lot.

Pulling on the hair would hurt a bit but not injure the dog, unlike biting its flesh.

  • @Tahlia350 Y how big do Komondors get. And wolves usually run in packs not all alone. Even so a Komondor couldnt withstand a lot of big mastiffs. They may not have a lot hair but If it one these dogs grab a bunch of hair of a Komondor and started yanking really hard a Komondor would b in a lot of pain. I mean that hair is attached to skin.

  • @Tahlia350 I can see how the hair protects the Komondor for animals that kick but when it come to canines they bite and shake. And for a Komondor havin all that hair is just more to grab unto. My Dobe on the other hand has a short hair docked tail and ears, when he plays with the other dogs, they get frustrated because he'll grab their tails and ears but they dont have anything to grab unto and moves around quickly too.

  • @Tahlia350 Im not sayin the Komondor is not a tough dog, or capable of defending itself, i'm sayin the Komondor isn't the badest dog around. But that doesn't make it a bad dog either. I know my dobe isnt the badest dog around even tho I'd like to think so, although I will say he is highly intelligent, devoted, and makes an awesome pet. He also makes sure no unwanted guests get thru the front door. But greets family with a smile and wagin nub.

  • @nikigurl08 Of course its not the baddest dog around. You just need to learn more about dog fighting. Pulling its hair won't do shit to the dog. It won't "be in a lot of pain". lol and you yes you think the other dogs have nothing to grab onto your doberman, except his NECK. A dog with short sure, such as the a Doberman, would get strangled very quickly. Short hair is a negative.

Why do you think some dogs also have loose skin? To protect them from bites, so the dog bites the skin.

  • @Tahlia350 Well that the thing about a doberman their quick and they have a nasty bite. Their also incredibly smart. I've seen an aggressive German Shepherd that out weight our doberman by 15 lbs. The Shepherd went right for Rico neck and Rico dodge him and grabbed the dog by the scruff and pulled him down. Less than a few second the shepherd was on the ground at Rico's mercy.

  • @Tahlia350 The other thing about Dobermans is because they have greyhound in their mix their extremely fast and agile. And Dobermans dont look for fights, unless another dog provokes them. Also when a doberman comes across a much bigger dog they use their speed not strenght, they'll dodge a lot and bite sensative areas. And if a dog is too much of a challenge they'll leave alone inless the owner is in trouble.

  • @Tahlia350 But hey that's what I like about dobermans and no they may not be able to take on all dogs but I dont fight dogs, I use them to guard the home. Which for me a Komondor would make a lousy guard dog because it hair could b used to immobilize it. I will say cords can benefit in some aspects but not all if they did their'd be more corded haired dogs.

  • @nikigurl08 Dogs with loose skin are much harder to strangle and bite since the dogs will only bite their skin. Sure it will hurt, but it will not damage it.

Learn more about dog fighting, no offense. Learn how they fight, what protects them, how they fight etc. WHY do you think they were bred with long raggy hair?

  • @nikigurl08 So your not making much sense. I never said a Komondor could fight a whole pack of Wolves. But they can easily kill one, even 2 wolves. How can you not see a Komondor or other LGD kill a Wolf. IT'S WHAT THEY WERE BRED FOR.

  • @Tahlia350 I'd have to read material proofing that a Komondor killed a wolf or two wolves. I've seen wolves up close their not exactly pushovers. Jus becaue a Komondor protects the flock of sheep doesn't mean it had to kill a wolve to do so. But there again if the dog is from Europe the wolves maybe a lot smaller than our American grey wolves.

  • @nikigurl08 You don't understand Livestock Guardian Dogs. I think you should go read about them. They are bred to kill Wolves and do it in their native countries, although such an encounter is very rare since Wolves are usually too scared.

And no, the European Wolves are 1kg heavier than American Wolves. American Wolves weigh 27kg, European Wolves weigh 28kg. And no, dobermans can't fight very well, they were not bred for fighting. No dog is fast enough to avoid getting bitten.

  • @nikigurl08 Agh why does everyone think Dobies have a strong bite force. Dobermans have a very weak bite force because of the way their head is designed. They have a long, narrow head resulting in a weak bit force. The longer and narrower a dogs head is, the weaker its bite force is.

The wider and shorter a dogs head is, the stronger the bite force it has.

Dobermans also have a long, slender, skinny weak neck. Which can break easier than most breeds.

  • @bluegama500 My doberman may not b some extremely stocky dog but he defiently has a strong neck, and is extremely strong. And yea dobermans were not breed to fight other dogs but either were Komondors. And I never said a doberman was the badest dog out there either. And cropped ears are harder to get to. The reason for cropping was so hunting dogs wouldn't get their ears bitten off from wild boars, its the floppy ears that are easy to bite.

  • @nikigurl08 Not to mention they have pointy ears, which can get bitten off by other dogs. Dobermans are very poorly designed for dog-fighting since they were not bred for it. LGD's can kill Wolves easily, and Wolves can kill pit bulls easily, and pit bulls can kill Dobermans easily. So a Komondor, same with any other LGD would finish a Dobie very quickly.

Proof of them killing Wolves? You don't know much about LGD's do you? Go read about them. EVERY single dog site says they kill Wolves.

  • @bluegama500 That just goes to show what you know, i'm not talking about an american doberman i'm talkin about a european doberman, which are much more stocky in build and can weigh up to 130 lbs. They have a big frame and much more muscle and are still more agile breed. And I dont care what your research show I like to see things in action. Their is actually a video on youtube that show a purebreed pitbull goin after a doberman and the doberman draws blood and the pitbull wants nothing to with

  • @nikigurl08 Holy shit how much comments lol. 5 in a row. You tell me i need to get a life yet you post 5 comments in a row lol. Even european Dobermans don't stand a chance. I'm not going to bother reading all 5 of your comments. Jusdt read up on them, i know you haven't searched Komondor up on Google yet, or you would know that I'm right. So do it.

  • @bluegama500 What do you mean with "european Dobermans"? The "Doberman" is a german breed, named after it's creator Friedrich Louis Dobermann, german. as far as i know, germany is in europe...

  • @VpR81 Yes but they have been bred as pets for probably over 40 years now in America. The German bloodlines are much sturdier andm ore robust, not to mention healthier.

  • @bluegama500 with this breed too? heard the same about Rottweilers...

  • @VpR81 Yes same with rotties and German Shepherds. All German breeds are better quality when they were bredin germany.

  • @bluegama500 Interesting, so why do serious breeders not come over here and by a pack of them? Isn't much difficult i think...I live 20 miles from the city where the Rottweiler was created (named after the city itself, Rottweil) and there are relatively much breeders here. It wasn't hard for me, to find a great Rotti...

  • @VpR81 Because there are not much breeders dedicated to breeding working line rotties.

  • @bluegama500 Same with the Dobermann and german shepherd? 90% of all police / military dogs worldwide, are german shepherds. Rest is Dobermann, Rottweiler and others. So there should be some professional breeders...? Or are those dogs breeded by the government?

  • @VpR81 What the lel are you talking about lol. I don't understand you.

  • @bluegama500 I mean, if the breeds in the US are not that strong and healthy, where do they get there military/police GSD's from? Do they import them, or do they use the "weaker" individuals or what?

  • @VpR81 They just use the American line dogs, and sometimes imported showline dogs.

  • @bluegama500 ah, ok. thx

  • @bluegama500 buy**

  • @bluegama500 The doberman. So dont even feed me this bull that a pitbull is so much more powerful than a doberman I seen a video that proofs you WRONG!!! And yea duh skull size equals bite power. And the smaller something is the more pressure it can cause. A doberman has extremely sharp teeth, they dont have to have a huge head to cause some damage which btw a european doberman has a bigger head. Its like having a sharp knife you dont have to apply a lot of pressure to cut something.

  • @nikigurl08 There, no more arguing. Just research, and read. If you actually bothered reading about Komondors and other LGD's you would have read that their job is to kill Wolves. Also, pulling a dogs hair does not kill it.

  • @bluegama500 So y r u even getting so upset. I never said a doberman had the highest bite force, or that a doberman was the badest dog and could take every breed in dog fighting, which its not even always the breed as it is the dog fighting. R you really that obsess over dog fighting that you research it all the time?

  • @bluegama500 If so you really need to get a life. And If a Komondor does kills wolves i'd defiently wouldn't have it as a guard dog as I want to one day own a wolf dog. Its like your upset because I dont want a really hairy guard dog like a Komondor. So what most ppl dont want to deal w that kind of hair, that's y their so rare. And dobermans have easy to maintain coats and their pretty popular.

  • @nikigurl08 dobermans are ugly dogs !

  • @kiddiva12 SO is your big ass nose!

  • @nikigurl08 o ok so every one doens't want a komondor because they don't want to deal with there fur ! but you are gonna be a jerk because i don't want a doberman !!!!! looks like you need to get a life too !

  • @kiddiva12 Your just dumb ass preteen looking for drama. Pretty obvious when your starting remarks w me, when I didn't even say shit to you. ANd than you putting words in my mouth and makin assumptions about what I said. I could careless if you want a doberman so y the fuck do you care so much what I think about Komondors. And ya you do have a big nose and yea you may think dobermans are ulgy but the only reason you said it was to start drama.

  • @nikigurl08 yea ok ! you are so frickin stupid !!!! you say something that you think will make me mad ! but really it doesn't in my world you look really dumb right now ! you are the one that wants drama ! COME TO THE FACT !!!!!!!!!! i am not putting words in your mouth loser ! you said someting about komondors so i say something about dobermans and you get all mad YOU CAN'T DEFEND YOUR SELF HERE BECAUSE YOU ARE DOING THE SAME THING THAT THE OTHER PERSON WAS DOING ! whatever loser !

  • @kiddiva12 Im a loser look at you! Your just another ulgy teen thinkin your gonna make it big like your whore of an idol Hannah Montana.

  • @nikigurl08 oh woooow that really hurt my feelings ! you idiot you are the one that blocked me so i can't go to your channel ! you are so stupid why don't i just frickin block you ! less ugly in my life

  • @nikigurl08 For example you can't kill someone by pulling their hair. Getting its hair pulled won't bother it anyway, since they have a high pain-tolerance.

  • thats so cute

  • weird fur

  • Венгерская пастушья овчарка !!!!!!!!!!! Красиво !

  • oh,thats where i left the mop:D

    awwee,it soo kute^-^

  • beautiful i plan on getting 2

  • My pit would tear that thing apart easily!!!!!!! nothing matches up against a pit

  • @Tahlia350 wow! thank god you shared this enlightening piece of info with us.

  • @nagarajaramalinga aha no. Get back in your cave, like nao!

  • @Tahlia350 typical yank. knows only beer, baseball, pitbulls, n barack obama. LMAO....

  • @nagarajaramalinga Sorry that was my stupid little sister. She always likes to troll. I am on her account right now to spam, troll etc since its on her profile lol. We actually live in Australia, although there can be dickheads here too, just not as much as in America lol.

  • @Tahlia350 hey, no issues at all. you tube is more famous for people screaming at each other than its video uploads...lol. good to know to know you.

been to sydney. got a few friends there. aussies are the most chilled out n friendly bunch that i have met in first world.

  • @nagarajaramalinga ok. Goodbye. :D

  • what about fleas

  • That Dog Looks like a mop

  • Whoopi Goldberg? O_o

  • It sees absolutely fine... bubu obviously has never even seen a komondor.

Humans see through hair too, it's less perfect of course, but more than enough.

Actually, if you would cut the hair from their eyes, they will easily develop an eye infection, and can turn blind... NEVER cut his hair.

  • wow SCIENCE has finally done it........THEY finally learned how to make a mop come alive!!!

  • @mystictouch9

Not science, that's an ancient Hungarian dog ;)

  • @mystictouch9

OMGOsh that is funny:)) a walkable mop:)

  • how does it see?!?

  • it doesn't... it's another exaplme of people's vagary that make animals live more coplicated live that they could... not to mention the weight the dog carry and doesn't have to...

  • @bububububak i'm sorry to contradict you but these dogs weren't made for human enjoyment, they were bred to work in the fields. the coat has a purpose - to protect the dog's body from the heat and cold of the hungarian plains. without that coat, his ancestors would never have survived and is the only reason he is around today.

  • @spinnmyfinn well..and what about wolfs?...their coat is also able to protect them in extreme conditions...and they don't have to carry such weight...and what's more- they can see....

  • @bububububak wolf coats are great in cold weather but impractical in the heat. also komondors can see perfectly well. the dreads grow much thinner around the face. trust me, this breed is over 1000 years old; the breeders knew what they were doing.

  • @spinnmyfinn it is good even in heat, because it can moult...i can't imagine this coat moulting, it's impossible...and i'd also like to say, that it is a complete nonsense, that they can see, because there is so much hair in front of their eyes, and if it's something in front of your eyes, you just can!t see through it...i've seen the eyes if such a dog, and it they were complete disaster!...they orient with their perfect smell, thats why they don't run into things...

  • @spinnmyfinn Erm, I'm not attempting to get involved in an argument and I actually think these dogs are great and you are correct that the coat is fit to purpose. However, you are incorrect about wolf coats being impractical in heat. If that were true the Ethiopian wolf would have become extinct long ago and they are still with us.

  • @spinnmyfinn the fur actualy helps in the heat, just like human hair, sweat moves through hair, for instance, if you had long hair, or an afro for instance, the sweat if going to go to the top of the fro, just like these dogs, the sweat will move away from their bodies, carrying heat with them, cooling them down..............

  • @stevencraig1000 Dogs do not sweat.

  • @stevencraig1000 dogs dont sweat all over their body. They only sweat through their feet. And that's gotta b load of bull inless the body pockets cooler air. But I dont believe that when ppl on youtube had to shave their Komondors dude to hot spots.

  • @PolythenePamm Got Infrared Eyes!

  • @PolythenePamm It can smell where everything is ;)

  • omg ein teppich O_o

  • wasn't he in "the Magic Roundabout"?

Wonderful Dog, the Komondor our national treasure.

  • @SoULja51NGH a Komondor

  • wischmob terrier

  • what??? read the title smarty

  • thats pretty big for a puli. beautiful

  • It's not a Puli. It's pretty much the title of the movie: A Komondor! It's close to a Puli but bigger.

  • srry i thought it said puli! haha im going crazy

  • It really does look like a mop. But a badass mop nonetheless.

  • Does Anyone Know Of Any Komondor Breeders In New Zealand?

  • not the finest komondor I've seen...

without its fur, you could see the ribs pointing out

this dog is way too slim and looks very fragile...

  • and it's kinda small

  • Beatiful dog!

  • holy fuck this dog and the Puli must have been around sheep for fucking millenia for them to start developing that intricate fur 0.o

How else to explain that fur?

  • To much time spent with Bob Marley

  • that's the weirdest looking dog I've ever seen

  • Is that the dog from the Beck album Odelay?

  • my fav dog of all time

  • thats just plain awesome

  • Shake them dreads! haha

    yee!

  • I can't imagine how hard it is to take care of their coats!!

  • its not actually that hard

i mean you do have to was it and stuff

but my dogs coat hardly sheds any fur

  • hungaricum:)

  • no need to dry after a bath. put him on the kitchen floor and let him run around

  • LOL like a living mop

  • this is a dog on my list to know for sure

  • rasta dog!

  • I have a female Komondor and a female south russian ovcharka if anyone wants them let me know, I will be moving from california to Hungary and dont want them togo through the trip. I rescued them about 3 years ago, they are both around 4 years old and are great with animals and kids, both great indoors or out, and also great at gaurding the house. both white sheep dogs : )

  • Komondor rules!

    all hail Hungary! :)

    cheers

  • These dogs are proof God has a sense of humor. I love Komondors!

  • I have a Kuvasz named Indy, the Kuvaszok are cousins of the Komondor. Indy is a sweetie and I imagine these dogs are too. I love their coats, they are very different which I expect makes them desirable.

  • hahahah! its so cute!

but it looks like a mop.

but its still very cute (:

  • nice dog but I think the bergamasco is a much nicer looking dog if you like dogs with all that hair

  • I think Komondorok are REALLY cute! There coats are so unique!

  • Can I borrow a mop? No, seriously great, though weird, dog.

  • Beautiful dog!

Is the komondor's hair naturally like that or is it somebody's work?

  • It's naturally like that. I have a komondor named Max

  • his hair are naturally like that, but these people make it more beautyfull. the hair of a komondor is most strange structure of the most dogs.
