  • I s the drift gtr r35 still using the original 3.8 twin turbo v6 as thr road card bar or does it have another engine swapped in it place?

  • @turboboost27

I believe VQ35 instead of the VQ38, bored and stroked to 4L of course.

  • RWD swapped cars are also good ;)

  • it has to be rear wheel drive i dont think formula drift would ever let a all wheel drive car enter competition because it wouldnt be drifting it would be power slideing

  • but isnt the 35 hard to drift because its 4wd?

  • @IIXxBlackOutxXII They convert it to rear wheel drive only.

  • @tyndago ohh ok

  • @IIXxBlackOutxXII they have RWD GTR's look it up

  • looks nice but i would just wait for the BLITZ R35 GTR in the hands of Nomura Ken

  • Looks like you will be waiting at least another year for the Blitz R35.

  • @tyndago yeah but i am sure that Blitz will get one GTR a good mod!

    more power to BLITZ

  • I am not sure that Blitz will ever get it to work.

  • well they are working on it but they are having some problems about the gears and weight

  • dude whoever is drifting that car soon, if he crash it, im gonna go up to his face and slap the shit out of him

  • i cant wait to see ken nomura's BLITZ R35 GTR

  • Cool GTR!

  • i wonder what did they use the vr38 for

  • They are going to be doing some development on the VR38 this year. The engine is still fairly new, parts are scarce, and expensive. Lots of companies are developing parts, expect to see them the next year. Check out my 2009 gtr blog for more info.

  • Why?

  • why not?

  • if you asking why since its a awd, with a flappy paddle gear box. im sure they converted it to rwd, and installed a standard gearbox prolly from a older gtr. so its drift ready.

im also sure it has its weight reduced cause this is a heavy mother in its stock trim.

  • Its getting a G-Force transmission, and there will be a good amount of weight out of the car. I heard some numbers on the chassis but I won't post them.

  • No i mean why waste a GT-R to drift...

  • oh, well there are a lot of gtrs, gtst's in d1. new new bobo "gtr" cant hurt.

  • @nitrousboy0311 Good point... but I am pretty sure it's more for the promotional standpoint. Cause it runs on VQ boosted engine and probably Z33 driveline as well? Just a thought

  • VR...not vq

  • @nitrousboy0311

Please read their spec sheets carefully. Cause they are converting it into a RWD Drift car. Utilizing Z33 engine and driveline would be the logical choice here.

  • Yeah! I agree. The GT-R is fitted with the best electronics you can find and now they ripped it a paert just to go sideways. I LOVE drifting but seriously GTR 35 is such a waste of money to drift in.
