  • what is this objective thank you very

  • Wow - nice footage. Great music. Thank you, for posting.

  • Looking very epic!

  • I looked at the seller and was wondering did you buy the cheaper one with just the crane and stuff or the kid with the LCD monitor and accessories?

Also does it come with the weight or you need to get one yourself? I saw you were using some sort of bag for the weight?

    Thanks heaps!

  • @dillonp23

I got the full package with accessories.

You need weights yourself. For the 12 foot setup, I had an 8 pound weight, a 5 pound weight, and the bag full of my lenses lol. I'm getting bigger weights soon.

  • i see they had a 4 foot one also what you think of the 4 foot one?

  • @sourcekings

    waste if money.

  • @BenHughesStudios I have two cranes 12' and 4' and I'm using my 4' one way more than the big one. Yes the 12' one is great for wide shots and when you want to show where your story takes place. But: Especially in tight spaces and indoore you almost never can use a 12' crane. If I hade to choose I'd sell my 12' and keep the small 4' one. seriously.

  • @tritonpictures

yeah well if you have a steadycam or handheld stabilizer, a 4 foot crane becomes pretty much pointless because you can do everything you can with that with a steadycam. The dvc250 can be used at 8' also, which is perfectly fine inside.

  • nice how much was it? it seems smooth! what problems have u seen with it?

  • @sourcekings

the only problem is that the camera mount bracket is on the side, so the image might tilt a bit in some shots. that's about it. the tilt control isn't perfect, but i rarely use that anyway. When it's in automatic level mode it is great.

  • what settings did you use?

  • Looks Great!

  • Looks amazing dude! I'm looking at that crane too, how is it? Is it easy to set up and portable? Also how do you go about focusing? Or do you just use lenses which keep everything in focus?

    Thanks!

  • @dillonp23

I usually just set a constant distance before i start operating the crane. It is by far the easiest crane to set up over all the others. It's only portable if you get the carrying case with it.

  • @BenHughesStudios Do you have a monitor for it too?

  • @dillonp23

yeah, i haven't used it yet though.

  • @BenHughesStudios Ah okay so you couldn't really see what you were filming then?

  • @dillonp23

not too much. i could still look way up into the T2i LCD though which was still visable.

  • @BenHughesStudio can you tell me what I would need to get started shooting now besides the camera

  • Amazing Ben, I can't wait to see what you do with this now. You're just getting better and better, it honestly wouldn't surprise me if you start getting really popular really fast. Keep it up!

  • @Medievalfilms

    Thanks!

  • i have some questions Ben, with the kit lens you shot at 18mm? 24mm? 35 or 55mm? and wich white balance you use? thanks for the answer. good job!

  • Great test and awesome shots...Ill get me one someday

  • That is really nice, where do you get that money from to buy such cool things?

  • @PowerTurkish

I get most of my money from doing music videos.

  • I have so much to learn from you, you're amazing

  • that was really great!!

  • nice your work always progresses forward. Happy Jibbing ;)

  • You know what's stopping me from shooting some awesome film? A good story.

    /sadface

  • @cpo2u

Yeah good stories are definitely hard to come up with, but watch a lot of movies and devote a lot of time to brainstorming and you'll come up with stuff. Also, it's smart to take your own experiences and turn them into stories.

  • Looks great! How much did it cost?

  • Looks great!

  • This place /town looks so beatiful : )
