  • Really? Oil lubricates????..... no shit.....!

  • Worst.

  • well.....that was useful..........

  • So the oil lubricates the moving parts and reduces friction, and because friction is reduced the power is increased. Great, didn't know that. Guess I'll head out and buy me some Shell Advance right now...

  • Who Knew?

  • We still need to find a better and cleaner source of energy besides gas and oil

  • electric will surpass all eventually.

  • you see the electric drag car?.....they are beast, all of the torque instantly

  • oh I believe it. I believe also that with electric the performance will eventually completely eclipse gasoline in terms of range and practicality as well as outright performance. Gas will be easy to forget, it's just going to take time to develop.

  • deffinately man

  • but still nothing beats the sound of a gasoline powered engine =)

  • well hell no haha. nothing sounds better.

  • you don't want it instantly

  • you do when you have an electric drag car. cause if you dont its not working right. if you havent seen the electric drag car goo look before you talk trash on it.

  • even women sir ?

  • Great animation... (",)

  • ehhh i have mixed emotions on this one, it almost seems like a sales pitch but its also informative.

  • Don't be so jaded...

That clip was from the MotoGP website as a feature to explain the changes from the use of previously larger engines to the smaller ones used this and last year.

Remarkably they make comparable power and speed (some tracks they're even faster). This clip was one of a series explaining how they engineeered the bikes to do this.

So it wasn't just a general discussion about oil, but how Shell and Ducati specifically used a compound to increase the engine's power...

  • OMG its oil... i wonder who engineered that?? they should use it on all engines...

  • This.

  • So let me see if I got this right... Ducati uses oil to lubricate the engine and transmission? Great. Thanks. I was always curious about that.

  • wtf!?! This is an advertisement? Wow well to sell your sell guys

  • You do see all the ads painted on the bikes right??? Its the name of the game.

  • awesome yes

  • go oil

  • awesome...

  • coool
