  • im using this as a model for the one we're tryn to build right now. Im havn alil confusion on how the mesh should be attached,,it seems u did a great job but ur methods are not to clear? what type of fasteners did u use?

  • @whatsanme well..i went with one piece of mesh and wrapped it around the base ect..its not as tight as yours and used staples for now..its far from done..gonna start on the box tmmrw.thx for the upload.

  • They will love it!!

  • @victoria4554 i totally agree

  • nice

  • Great hutch ill be working on mine soon,so im looking for easy DIY hutches....

  • Heya, thats a lovely set-up how is the breeding going?

bubblewrap is a good insulator for bottles.

Also are you still breeding them that much? And meat rabbits are a different breed, as far as I'm aware they're not lops.

Where I live the min requirements for two buns is 6ft x 2ft x 2ft and that hutch seems lovely enough. And wire floor is fine so long as its kept clean and rust free and there is ample restings space, which this hutch apears to be. :)

  • You should not have wire flooring! How would you like to have to walk on wire?! It would hurt. And you said they are feeder rabbits, does this mean you eat them? If so then i'm sorry but you are very cruel.

  • that's a great hutch, don't let anyone tell you differently. in the winter you don't need to worry about them being cold unless it's at least 10below 0. in the summer tho try to keep them in the shade or wrap a frozen water bottle in a towel and toss it in with them. wish i'd seen this before i built my first one but you get the hang of it if you just wing it. mine ended up about the same as yours except it's solid wood on all except the door and floor. the rest is enclosed.

  • Nice video and a good looking hutch. Thanks for posting it.

  • Good video helped me out alot

  • thanks for putting this up it looks great here I would have to make it more winter proof... or are they cold tollerant?

  • Rabbits don't do well in very cold or very hot weather, and also don't do well in the wind.

This "hutch" however, is a very VERY poor hutch and if he wants "feeder rabbits", they will more than likely be very ill from bumble foot from the wire and because there is not enough shelter and if he wants to breed, that just isn't big enough for how many kits they could have.

Even feeder rabbits deserve some place better to live in...

  • Hey Grace, I was going to rip you a new one. But I just checked out your channel first and thought I would be nice to you and reply like a gentleman. So I will send you a personal message. But to all others that have read her reply. This rabbit hutch totally meets ARBA standards. ARBA stands for American Rabbit Breeder Association. And the second thing is read the information box to the right of the videos before commenting. I said these are pets, and I would PROBABLY start feeders.

  • @america2revolt So hows the breeding coming along so far?

  • This is a perfect hutch for any rabbit. And it depends on the rabbit whether or not they will get bumble foot. So, I don't think you should be running your mouth on how awful it is.

Also, rabbits are fine in cold weather. Hot weather, no. The only thing in the winter you have to worry about is them getting dehydrated from frozen water bottles. Maybe next time you write something like that, make it a little more respectful of a person that worked so hard on something.

  • @GraceUnderPressure1 ur high man rabbits live in the wild so they do well in very cold and very hot weather

  • @GraceUnderPressure1 ummmm i dont know what u are talking about the wire is better than anything do to it keeping them so clean AND they can even go into the house and meat rabbits breeders of course require 4 square feet and when he gets another rabbit he will just need a 24" x 24" rabbit pen although i do reccomend a 24"x30" cage ON WIRE of course

  • Great hutch I plan on building a couple myself here soon.
