I was at the Met in philadelphia we the Caravans broke this song. Believe me, they tow da place up. Tina was off the chain. Lawdamerseyyyyyyyyyy. I will always be a loyal Caravans Fan.

thank you for posting this one! it is hot and refreshing to hear the girls working their magic from back in a day when the hard times made them sing from the soul.
Eh, I'm just trying to get some stuff up that I've just had sitting around. I have some more stuff I may upload. Maybe some James Cleveland from the 80s if somebody hasn't beat me to it, as well as some more Roberta Martin Singers material from 1952-58 and some late 70s material by Albertina Walker.
I can see Miki Howard looks alot like her mom.

Yeah Joey, that's Josephine singing mezzo. And you forgot Delores Washington singing soprano

Saw them sing this in 1965. Albertina & Inez shared the lead.

Who is singing an octave lower than Delores? aka the lowest notes.
And who squalled in the middle?
jddrew1000 2 years ago
The lowest notes are being sung by James Herndon. The squaller was either Josephine or Shirley.

It's Shirley
And I never knew that was James Herndon
Are you sure Jojo Howard was a contralto?
jddrew1000 2 years ago
@JayEm86....I think its Shirley. At least sound like her.
