@jjonkz That was on my first 3 kills. 3 kills across 9 hours of game time. All bucks. At the time I did not know how to use the scope so I had to sneak up close enough to hit them. After posting this I went, updated client, played, and bagged a nice kill at around ~40yrds with a single shot in about 30mins. Clean kill right to the throat.

@mgosani You get free bullets for the free rifle (.243), a new box will appear in your inventory ones you have COMPLETELY emptied one. So don't leave boxes with 1 or 2 bullets left or you won't have enough for your hunt. All the other guns you have purchased, you need to buy ammo for. Unless you have a membership in which case the ammo is free for all guns, as long as you keep the membership up.

@mgosani You can access inventory with the i key anytime during the game, when there just drag a new box from the bottom grid to the guns ammo slot at top. R key will reload the gun.

@mgosani E key toggles run, not recommended though if you want to shoot something, the deer will run away before you even see them if you run.

You need to pay to hunt other animals and get new guns.

You can't run out of ammo/boxes for the free rifle (.243). You will get a new box on your next hunt when you have emptied one completely.

@girurgi You don't have to hold it in hand to see the tracks but you need to equip it to identify them. Also you wont hear the beep, if you walk over a track that you didn't see, without it in hand.

@nxidplease if u mean like a crescent arc ( its a track on the floor for a animal.

once u track said hint on floor its path or "tracks" will become red domes. so u dont get confused with other animal tracks that are lying around.

@VemundVR It's not in game, dunno about real hunting. I think they've changed the hit box in the head anyway so it's not such a good target anymore, especially with bow. Personally I always go for heart/lungs. I've added an annotation noting the hit box change.

@Thermalburn You have that ammo from the start, and you can just fire away since it will be restored when you've used it all. So just click The Hunt --> go hunting and continue to the part where you get to pick weapons for inventory, there you can pick out the ammo you need.

This game has ZERO instruction. I played for the first time, started at the lodge, it displayed a message for like 2 seconds basically telling me to head south and stick to the east coast. so i went south, and followed the east coast all the way north for what felt like forever and saw nothing. no tracks, no poo, no nothing. THE HELL? is this a video game or not? Who wants to walk endlessly for half an hour? what am i doing wrong? should i totally disregard what Doc is telling me to do?

@CanadaDan7 If you go south how can you follow the east coast all the way north? Start from the causeway lodge and move south from there. After a while you will get further instructions from Doc that you are approaching a doe herd so look for them and shoot one. The herd will be there, it's set to always spawn there when the first mission is active.
