  • Cover the slot with cellotape before using a coin to remove the back to avoid scratching. Do not touch the battery at all with fingers, use tweezers. Don't worry you will get lots of practice changing core batteries, the watch eats them.

  • @borisdraceana No doubt. I am changing my batteries every 6-9 months.

  • tnx for showing us how to do it :) awesome watch and easy to read

  • damn ! I do have same watch (all black edition) I did try open with coin...then with screwdriver ,still can't open and I did really use muscles + already scratch back of it ....my are closed really tight ! now hammer will probably help

  • @vasehovno Oh no.. I hate scratches. It works best with a VERY large flathead screwdriver.. one of the ones that are prybar sized almost helps.

  • @breitlingsource ......OK JUST DID try that again ....nothing , I used bigger screwdriver no luck there, then I made(grind) piece off metal which fit exactly to the back of the watch..and nothing ...damn !!? I guest now I have to go some where ...?

  • @vasehovno You might. you can also try putting the watch head in a watch holder and put that in a vise and turn it.. its easier that way.

  • thanks, now I can buy them :)

  • Thanks. Nice video. I made it as you explained. Japanese coin is work to open the case-back though.

  • thaks pal, it may seam simply but i want to buy a core and i really wanted tosee how the battery changes

  • Hey is there any possibilyty that you can make a review on a marcelloc nettuno 3 2007?

    Plz

  • are you the same guy as customtacticals?

  • @shot3gun Yes, i am.

  • Note number 2: Don't touch the battery on the NEGATIVE side with your fingers, use some tools for the job, otherwise your fingerprints may cause problems with the contact...

  • Phahahaha. Note: If you want to scratch your watch, use a screwdriver, if not - use a penny ;)

  • @van4ooo Like I mentioned before.. the back was on too tight that I couldn't get it open with a penny.

  • @breitlingsource Well, sorry, i haven't heard that ;)

  • You should never touch both sides of these battery's, this will cost you a few weeks less runtime, and in the Suunto battery kit is also a new seal to keep it waterproof.

  • @Bierkameel Good to know about touching the battery terminals - thanks. I've seen the Core batteries for sale at the Suunto dealer, and the ones I saw did not include the new seal. I have seen the seal kits online but they are not Suunto packaged. My battery cost 17 cents shipped so it was an economical choice.

  • Maybe use a soft metal coin in that scalloped recess instead of a big ass tool steel screwdriver.

  • @fredo51 Contrary to what you might think, I was smart enough to try that first. ;) Not enough grip and strength to open it with the coin.
