  • I remember that wow! Wish my kids had the old Sesame street to watch! Loved the Teeny Weeny Little Super Guy one to!

  • I wonder how old that baby is now. Pushing 40 I bet.

  • Another proof that this sketch is probably from Season 4 is that in the second and third seasons, Cookie Monster says "I" instead of "me", and he says "me" in this sketch.

  • I wonder if that baby, who is now an adult has ever seen this, and what her re-action is to this video,if anyone know's her please let me know what she thinks of it

  • Awww so adorable! How old is this episode? Just wondering

  • always wanted that cookie

  • Graduated to eating at the table.

  • This sketch couldn't have been made after Sesame Street's 4th season, because I remember it when I was three, and I was three in 1972.

  • @Pocockable

Woulda guessed something like that, anyway. As a preteen in the 90s I realized it was pretty easy to pick out early 70s stuff because the cheap, fuzzy film was usually a good indicator. X)

  • @Marbles471 All sepia now.

  • Nothing a good bath won't fix. Kids are the most washable creatures on the planet.

  • Baby needs a Bath.

  • Looks like 6 people want that cookie for themselves...

  • Cookie Monster excited over nothing.

  • To this very day, I still wonder what kind of cookie she had. Either way she had to have spent hours in the bathtub afterwards lol

  • I am sure the woman would state, "I was wearing my white dress..what a waste!

  • aww I loved this when I was a kid she looks so much like my fiance when she was a baby haha nice

  • Tell you what kid, that ain't no chocolate cookie! We found it near the kitty litter box, Jinxy missed......again!

  • This brings back memories. Because of this Coookie Monster became my favorite. It also always made me want to eat a cookie like that. But you know how mothers can be.

  • Too bad they did not have OxyClean Baby in the 70s!

  • i remember this. i dont know why but because of it I started loving chocolate, preferably chocolate cookies..

  • Children will get anything on their clothes chocolate, popsicle.....

  • WASH ME! PLEASE!

  • The footage jumps at the end.

  • how can people dislike this?!!! so cute!!! id like the cookie monster to narrate my cookie eating :)

  • Was that cookie dipped in chocolate syrup or something? That's one logical reason for it being so messy.

  • Becareful Joseph The cookie monster is gonna eat you!Because he liks cookie girls

  • I USED TO LOVE THIS AS A KID! IT MADE ME THINK I COULD BE AS MESSY AS I WANTED TO AS WELL!

  • Get the Tide XK

  • They probably aren't allowed to show this on TV anymore! :(

  • @Bestclips00 Nah, it's because they can't show a kid eating cookies because a kid watching the show might go out and eat cookies and get fat! Apparently, "Sesame Street" and Cookie Monster caused childhood obesity, according to some extremist groups!

  • @snoopy64116

LOL. It's actually not true at all. There are a lot of false internet rumors about Cookie Monster being forbidden from eating cookies or changing into Vegetable Monster or something. It's all baloney.

They COULD show this if they wanted to. But this, along with the other (literally) thousands of clips they'd built up over 35+ years have recently been retired. They made the decision, for the first time in their 41-year history, to start completely from scratch.

  • @Marbles471 Sesame Street started going downhill once they added Elmo.

  • @snoopy64116

I don't agree. Elmo's been around since 1985. That was long, long before they started altering the show's format and tone. For many years he was just another main character.

It's true that in the late 90s they began to build the changes AROUND Elmo (and later Abby Cadabby), but that was the result of changing educational research.

  • @Marbles471 Well, I think Elmo was okay during his first few years, but it went downhill when it became "The Elmo Show."

  • @Marbles471 Yup, I was 6 years old in 1985 and Elmo was "new"...haha

  • @Marbles471

I think it was probably a change in the Sesame Workshop staff that caused Sesame Street to go downhill.

  • @Marbles471 I oftentimes look at him being called Cookie Monster because he "specializes" in eating Cookies. I used to ask my sister why it is called "Pizza Hut" or "Pizza Delight" if they sell more than just Pizza and she used to tell me that they specialize in selling Pizza. Similar to that, Cookie Monster can eat whatever he wants and still be called "Cookie Monster" because Cookies are his specialty.

  • @snoopy64116 True they pulled because obesity concerns. Also people say don't feed chocolate to babies because of allergies.

  • @vintagesugar82 Bad idea to wear a good baby dress and stain it.

  • Sesame street should have their own channel on Tube.

  • remember this very well as a kid. sesame street in those days had the best episodes

  • Remember this one? (For all the 70s babies)...

  • Baby Vs Choocolate cookie.

  • Cookie Monster ought to be ashamed of himself begging a little baby for her cookie. This is such a cute sketch.

  • @peabody66 Cookie just wants one bite.

  • @peabody66 He should be ashamed because he never got a bite.

  • I remember this one! So funny!

  • this is soo cute she just gets that cooke all over

  • A potential "Dear Tide" commercial for Tide detergent.

  • That chocolate smile is so cute!

  • That little baby is just too adorable. So funny how Cookie Monster goes nuts over a chocolate cookie. "Me got closet full of cookies! Ya!"

Also, at the very, very, beginning of the video, I can tell that's a sketch with Ernie and Bert at the movies. ;-)

  • Surprised Cookie Monster did not show his face for this one.

  • That baby just about gave cookie monster a heart attack

  • He was just cheering the kid on. Cookie Monster just wanted more. Bet he wanted to make the mad grab!

  • I REMEMBER THIS!

  • How old is this baby now? Must be out of college? Post master's? Goodness time flies!

  • lol cookies in closet,, pedobear in disguise? xD

  • loved the music in this...too cute..and what kind of messy cookie was this?? anyone know??

  • I can remember wondering what kind of cookie that was as a little 4 year old...

I always thought it looked like a Thin Mint (you know, the Girl Scout cookie...), but my age at the time may have had something to do with me drawing that conclusion.

  • messy little bugger it was, i remember not being able to believe that as a kid lol..to this day, i haven't seen any quite like it :)

  • the cookie, that is...not so much the kid :)

  • It's difficult to believe a child could get that dirty just eating ONE chocolate cookie. Still, a cookie with that much chocolate sounds divine. I wonder if those cookies are still produced and sold... :)

  • it does for real.....dunno if they are still produced and sold, but even if they still were, they prob wouldn't taste as good as they did back in the day

  • For real...pity, they just don't make 'em like they used to.

  • I know :(

  • You got that right!

  • @Jennafu832 LOL!!!!!Probably not!

  • Good point. (Her parents should have given her a small baby bib to wear when she was eating the cookie). I guess she was getting dirty a lot because she was smudging the cookie all over herself. At the end from 0:52-0:58, I hope she didn't get any chocolate in her left eye since the chocolate was all around her left eye.

  • Yes, maybe it was a Thin Mint cookie or, maybe it was a chocolate ice cream Oreo cookie.

  • Maybe it was a chocolate ice cream Oreo cookie.

  • wow i remember this

  • I first saw this when I was five years old, and I think of it every time I eat chocolate.

    :D

  • Oh man do I remember this one. Haha. Classic. Poor Cookie Monster, He really wants that Cookie.

  • I am guilty of giving a baby a chocolate cookie just to see this happen.

  • Nice memory - one of a few clips where a monster does the commenting on a live-action film. Just curious - is the background music by Joe Raposo, Jeff Moss, or someone else? I'm tempted to think Raposo, but... Thanks in advance.

  • @d72jjpilc it sounds like Raposo to me

  • lol xD "Tell you what, you come home with me and we eat cookies all day! Me got closet full of cookies!" xD man that would be the best pick up line ever! I wonder what someone would say if they said that ^^;

  • "Okay. Me give you big kiss and lick cookie off face!" XD

  • @curlytoes79 It should be wipe.

  • LOL!! That WOULD be the ultimate pickup line! Would totally work on me.

  • Eating cookies all day from Cookie Monster's never-ending supply? Absolutely.

  • lol this is awsome! and I remember seeing this so cute!

  • OMG I forgot about this!!!

  • i remember this..that cookie really tasted great and i really had to hurry cause this blue guy was oogling my cookies!

  • i remember this from about 1975 or so-i was born in 1970.....so this is a nice trip down memory lane for me and fun for my daughter now - she giggles at the baby...

  • i remembered this out of the blue when i was eating a chocolate cookie... i thought i'd try youtube...to see if its here....crazy technology!!!!!

  • I like it when she salivates on it.

  • " hey, I'll tell u what:you come home with me and we'll eat cookies all day! " Cookie Monster is the man!

    lol

    hauahuahau

    hauahua

    so cute

  • LOL! I've been thinking about this one as of late because I'm currently in love with double chocolate muffins and they can get messy sometimes.

  • Cookie Monster's so hilarious, What year is this from?

  • Like the early 1990's..I think because I remember watching it when I was little.

  • Are you joking? This is from the early 70's

  • Well I wasn't sure. I just said I remember watching it in the early 90's. Meaning they still had it on tv, at least.

  • I remember watching this in the 80's...I always wondered when it first aired. :)

  • Cookie is the best. :D

  • When I first saw this, I was probably 4 or 5(1984-5). I used to think that was the most delicious cookie ever. Thats a lot of chocolate for a cookie. The way CM was talking about that cookie made me want to eat it after being slobbered. I wonder if she's still around?? COOOKIE!!

  • I thought the same thing!!

  • haha used to love watching this when i was little

  • I remembered seeing that baby on TV, but this reminds me of where I saw it. Thanks!

  • This was hiliarious. It freaked and made me laugh when I was a kid.

But I was dissapointed when I was little when I didn't see him in this.

  • LOL she got it all over herself!! xD I remember this lol my mom would have been ticked if I did that to my dress lol I forgot how funny Sesame street was.

  • I wonder where she is today.

  • CEO of Oreo. lol

  • hahahahaha that'd be right =)

  • @2bin No. I could see the woman in a commercial "Emails to Tide."

  • @KelvTwelve She would write "Dear Tide" in e-mail form.

  • PERFECTION. xo

  • Hoooooh! COOOOOOOOOKKKKKEEEEEEEEEE

Somehow this is more entertaining as an adult than as a kid.

I'd forgotten how nuts Cookie Monster sounds.

  • LOL.....yeah, boy, I remember that one. :-)

  • hes gonna take children home with him oh no!!!

  • hey, I'll tell u what:you come home with me and we'll eat cookies all day!

    hauahua

    so cute!

  • cookie monster: OH BOY! COOKIE FOR ME! baby: get lost ghetto! its myn!

  • OMG I so loved this one........She was so cute and all the chocolate all over her face and dress, lol, and cookie monster wasnt helpin none, lmao, just eggin it on.

  • I agree. It also looked cute at the end from 0:52-0:58, when she had chocolate around her left eye. However, I hope she didn't get any chocolate in her left eye.

  • This clip used to trip me out, the commentary from Cookie Monster just makes it so funny!!!

  • Another good one. Gross, but memorable. That cookie always made me hungry as a kid, it looked like a giant wet Jos Louis or something.

  • this is very cute :)

  • this use to gross me out as a kid... it kinda still does... still loved it though

  • "you getting dress all dirty." lol!

  • ahh to be young again

  • This is so cute with cookie monster talking.

That little girl needs a good bath (maybe ernie and bert can give her one). Im sure some laundry soap will get the choclate out of that dress.

  • Comment removed

  • A box of wipes will do that mess justice.

  • @AFGSANFORD2 Good point. This clip would make a good Tide commercial!

  • I've no shame. ;) I always wanted the cookie as much as Cookie Monster. :)

  • I've been looking for this forever!!! Sooo cute!!!!!

  • What year was this from? I saw this as a kid during the 80s but this doesn't look like an 80s clip.

  • It was from the early 70's!

  • we all use to be like this ween we were babys

  • I love how she gets dirtier and dirtier 'til the mess is just everywhere, even on her forehead and up to her elbows. That's one gloopy cookie.

  • oh wow i so remember this one!!!!!!! so cute!!

  • I question the cookie monster's motives...

  • This clip used to gross me out, and I still can't watch it without turning my head at least once. But I also remind myself that I probably ate the same way as a baby.

Whoever this baby is would be in her just late-30's to early-40's by now, just imagine what her reaction would be if she saw this clip!

  • i think she would lagh at her self, not think was nasty xD its too cute!!

  • This woman would be surprised. She may not even remember eating the dessert.

  • OMGAWD!!!

  • I got a closet full of cookies!

  • Why isn't she wearing a bib?

  • doesn't look like a bib would have helped much... she needed a full-body suit... preferably of plastic!

  • hey, I'll tell u what:you come home with me and we'll eat cookies all day!

    hauahua

    so cute!

  • How on earth did that child get chocolate smeared around her EYE? I know she has poor motor skills but damn

  • I guess since she's a baby, she was constantly smudging the cookie all over her face. (I hope she didn't get any chocolate in her left eye).

  • She was squishing the cookie the entire time!

  • my three year old loves this clip

  • As a child this used to seriously make me so sick.

    Oink, oink.

  • for years something irked me about this skit. i finally figured it out. this is like porn to the cookie monster....

  • oh god...lol

  • lol "cookie for me oh boy"- so funny

  • this was one of my FAVORITES!! yay. thanks.

  • ahaha i love this

  • i wanna know how the hell she ended up with chocolate all around her eye did she rub it on her face???!!! yo kid! cookies go in ya mouth stoopid

  • she's a baby you retard. Their dexterity and motorskills arent that of an adult.

  • it was a joke. im aware babies don't have refined motor skills. Good work living up to your name sake, bigdumbjerk.

  • thank you.

  • She must have smudged the cookie all over her face. (I hope she didn't get any chocolate in her eye).

  • That is right. She squished the cookie on her face.

  • WOW! This scared me SOOO much as a kid!! Probably because the little girl was getting dirty as a result of that cookie (though she was not unlike me when it came to eating pudding when I was 3 to 4 years old.)

  • I have always remembered this clip. I don't know why but it has always been burned in my memory... probably because I WAS eating a chocolate covered cookie at the time .. <.<

  • Scared me too.

  • @Bestclips00 I rediscovered this and it makes me laugh. Always thought Cookie Monster would grab that cookie

  • LOL! I remember this.

  • I remember wondering what kind of cookie had that much chocolate on it.

  • Maybe it was a chocolate ice cream Oreo cookie.

  • i used to think this was so funny when i was little. He'd be like "cooookie for me, coookie for me...' and i would laugh

  • I remember this one!

Is that a solid piece of chocolate? It looks like it's melting...

  • "closet full of cookies." lol classic....

  • Bounty Paper Towels - lol

    Ms Charme

    The Preschool Teacher

  • OMGAWD!!!

  • bad*

  • I remeber seeing this when i was a kid so this clip is at least twenty years old. So yeah where in the hell is she now

  • Does anyone know who this girl (woman now) is?? I wonder if she ever seen herself in this clip...So cute! Pretty dress too.

  • I quote for Kel Mitchell: "That is one filthy baby!" I bet that woman's looking back on this thinking, "OMG! What a filthy baby I was!" Who knows where she could be these days or what her name is?

  • Fun to guess.

  • what year was this?

  • From the way the film looks, I'd guess this is the 70s. I saw this a lot as kid---all us 80s kids were seeing tons of stuff on this show that was 10 to 20 years old at the time.

  • I loved this one, so funny. Poor Cookie monster no cookie for you. Wow what a messy baby.

  • By the way, how could they leave a baby alone with someone who once wanted to eat TV host???

  • I thought this was so cute!
