I know the stereotypes of the south in the states, finding it hard to believe. When such good music is made from the south, i find my self really intrigued to visit there than other places most people visit in the states such as new york or l.a.

Crossville has gotten pretty bad who agrees with me on that? The man is ruining our town there ruining our lives here, were just simple people tryin to get by day to day tryin to stay peaceful and not harm one another! So why all the hostility from the police here and in surrounding counties here lately? Why are innocent people being framed and raped by our messed up court? If anyone agrees with me PLEASE get back to me asap! Its time my friends lets take back our country!

My dad, his dad, and all the other men before him came from Tennesee. MY great grandpap, and my grandad both worked in the mines and ran shine way back when. While one of Old Crow's most melancholy songs, also one of my favorites. They make music that speaks to the experience of Appalachia, one of America's first boondocks, long ago exploited and forgotten in national politics. I think their specificity translates into the experience of much of the rest of the nation in the ensuing centuries.

@dale6118 yes and north GA.. i hear you. speaking of old crow it seems like they have been laying low for the past 2 or 3 years. i was looking at their website trying to find some tour dates around my area. it looks like their last album was done 3 years ago, and they have played some shows here and there between 2008 and 2011, but their site dose not list any new tour dates. i think those boys worked so hard between 2003-2008 that they just need a break. you heard anything about them?
