Because a lot of my friends served there and I can tell you for sure that there is not so many really combat military units in Russia (ready for modern war). Soldiers are you as a free working power, not enough modern weapons (there are a lot of actual developments, but only a few of them are actually in army). Thats why, if the war will start, Russia will have a very big casualities (as always in our history you know...).

@RexSDMF I believe Americans and Russians can work together. Last year American Rangers and British Marines was in the Red Square Parade. Europe is however lowering its defenses to focus on a more international mobile military, being ready to defend peace, democracy and innocent civilians. Russia & America are both focusing on a strong defense first though. Europe has a strong bond with America, especially NATO nations, but I'd like Europe, Russia and America to work together on aiding peace.

Americans have become more self-critizising and aware of what's going on around them. Not only America has to change but also Russia if there's a co-operation to come. when he said USA would be nothing without Germany he problably thought of post world war 2 develpment....Apolo space program led by Germans, Stealth planes built on German idea and help of Russian scientist Petr Ufimtsev, M1A1 and later version developed and based on German Leo 2, First fighters like F-86 based again on German planes etc. Alber Einstein as a German, and list goes on, American army is developed mostly because of ferign scinetists and engineers

А потом миллионы положили пока наработали качество оружия и опыт боев. Так вот сейчас, ты сам поинтересуйся, в России очень мало профессиональных военных, всё больше очковтирателей, которые учат не войне, а херне, то шагать строем, то кровать как заправлять... Вместо стрельбы и рукопашного боя. Есть конечно исключения, но весьма редкие.

Because a lot of my friends served there and I can tell you for sure that there is not so many really combat military units in Russia (ready for modern war). Soldiers are you as a free working power, not enough modern weapons (there are a lot of actual developments, but only a few of them are actually in army). Thats why, if the war will start, Russia will have a very big casualities (as always in our history you know...).

@RexSDMF I believe Americans and Russians can work together. Last year American Rangers and British Marines was in the Red Square Parade. Europe is however lowering its defenses to focus on a more international mobile military, being ready to defend peace, democracy and innocent civilians. Russia & America are both focusing on a strong defense first though. Europe has a strong bond with America, especially NATO nations, but I'd like Europe, Russia and America to work together on aiding peace.

@Keepersan I can't do other than to concur with your statement. However there is a change going on in the United States. Americans have become more self-critizising and aware of what's going on around them. Not only America has to change but also Russia if there's a co-operation to come. Russia still shows traces of cold war agressions against Europe with routine bomb flights close to not only the bordering countries but countries like Norway and England.

Theese flights are just showing of power to NATO. They want to show NATO that theya re ready for anything and can do it if needed. Also if you look at the real point of flights its a perfect exercise for theese pilots. Its like flying in real war situations. They have to take care about every detail and also can study defence of NATO countris with flights like that. US nad Russia unfortunaetly wont cooperate unless they have common enemy and they still dont.
