wow something is wrong with all of you hating on the genesis version...sure the graphics lose, but aside from that i think the genesis version of the game had the BEST soundtrack for the first level,EASY!!! no comparison,it actually fit the future and the scary thought of machines taking over,it was an epic and eerie, creepy sounding soundtrack. it was awesome!
I wonder why Probe screwed the pooch on the music here. When I popped the Genesis version, I said "This isn't the arcade game!" And immediately set out to get the SNES version.
The Sega genesis version horrible. The graphics look nothing like the arcade, neither do the terminators, and the music is horrible. The Aracade version is by far the best however the SNES version is probably the closest port to the arcade. Atleast on this amiga version the graphics some what look similar to the arcade.
I had this on the Amiga as a kid. After reading loads of stories about the third level I was very confused! The Amiga version of that level is easy, i dont think i ever died on it. But, playing the other versions, i get dicked every time!
I guess you only played the Genesis version and not the SNES. The SNES is easily the most faithful arcade home port of this game. I recently played all versions including arcade(thanks to the wonderful world of emulation)and the SNES is the closest your going to get. It had near arcade perfect graphics, sound, and gameplay. Other ports including the Amiga had different music and sound affects along with having less detailed graphics.
I only had the demo version, came with an amiga magazine, only the first level.... I am only now seeing what I missed out on :(

Amiga version has SFX *or* music, but it can't do both together for some reason.

who played this longplay? RickyC?

Well, every movie has a text at start which says what game it is, who the recorder/player is and for what site it's recorded for.
In this case the text says: Ironclaw (player/recorder)

The SNES and genesis version looked pretty similar if you ask me. Not to mention you could use the wireless Menacer light gun for the genesis.:)

I like the music in the first level. It's kind of repetitive, but its also quite catchy.

I was just curious about what the bad ending in T2 The Arcade Game is like and what it says if you don't destroy all of Cyberdine?

Sounds like MOD or Ogg Vorbis tunes. . just like on the Pinball Dreams game. Gives me wonderful memories!

Not the Genesis version, I remembered the Genesis version, some reason the skies were faded red, and the music was not great.

What do you expect? The sega genesis/megadrive always had lousy sound compared to the Amiga...

The games for the MD and Snes were stupidly overpriced back in the day for what they were. The Amiga was always my machine of choice...
