the other day I was walking down the street and with this song on my Ipod, and a man who went before me suddenly started to dance...alone. One minute after, he stopped his dance and followed his path....I looked again and yes, the track was PASSION DANCE....great moment!

Been waiting to see this for a while! They cut this off the original Blue Note Anniversary concert LP and Video! Fantastic! I think that all except McCoy were smoking slightly more on Appointment in Ghana, but nonetheless an amazing performance by an amazing band!!

It was a metaphor to describe the fact that this video has had only 7000 views while famous little-talent pop artists like those I mentioned get millions of hits. Truth is however that it underscores the reality that most of the great jazz artists were relative paupers. Justin Beaver has an $187,000 Ferrari to play with (he just crashed it). I wonder how many years it took each of the musicians on this date to earn that amount.
