  • Damn, I see alot of the crowds in videos of that year acting rather unappreciative. I guarantee all of you reading this that if I were there, and the cameraman happened to be filming me, you'd see me in heaps of laughter and joy. Epic performance, those backing singers really fucking nailed it too.

  • first rule of music, get really good at the guitar, then learn how to sing.

  • Eric is like wine. More than aging, more is good.

  • either the recording is really bad or else these are playing below there standard -.-

  • Just can't sit still on my chair in the 2:03 solo part.. Guess no one can

  • back up voices are better than john mayers back up voices!exept for david ryan!amazing..

  • @MILLMANTV1 Yea I know.. But Clapton's cover has though been more dominating than the original by Johnson. I just meant, in relation to this video, that Clapton shows Mayer how you really rock Crossroads from the ground to the sky :) Does it make sense ? :)

  • lol that drummer never gets old :D

  • @AZARTI5 yeh looks like the drummers having a constant heart attack

  • yeewww he shreds that guitar like only a god can, this made my day

  • John Mayer: Your version is good, but here is what it really is!

  • A GOD!!!!

  • hey, where's the bass player that usually play with clapton?

  • @zzy66613 He changes his bass player from time to time.. Maybe you're thinking of Nathan East? He's been playing through many years in Claptons bands..

  • @JonasJakobson ah, youre right! i love that guy. great musician.

  • @JonasJakobson who`s on bass¿

  • hes getting older, but this amazing motherfucker will live in my heart for forever

  • I hope he enjoys it, he dosen't seem all enthusiastic about his playing the past couple of years. Heard him in several interviews saying he dosen't feel as good as he once was.

The man is fantastic in every aspect! In my eyes king of his game! Well him and B.B shares the throne, but Clapton just brought that power into blues that i love! I hope the man is all right! Much love!

  • @oliverandm It's so funny that he says he doesn't feel that he is good as he once was. I have seen him several times over the last few years and I think he is getting better with age...his phrasing is incredible.

  • Keep up the spirit of a true master doing exactly what you are doing here...I can not thank you enough for what you have done for me in the past..."part of the wisdom to know the difference" in time of troubles. God bless, EC.

P.S. Man oh man... is in shape like never before, on top of is game. So good to see...

  • Steve Ferrone on Drums

  • @martinarntsen2

    No, it's Steve Gadd

  • @martinarntsen2

steve ferrone is black, and i didn't see him playing with eric for a long time

  • Party!!!

  • That appears to be Chris Staiton (once of the Grease Band) on piano; and of course the great Willie Weeks on bass. Do any of you out there happen to know who else was playing with Eric on this occasion?

  • What a nice video !!!

  • Nice , there is a GOD!!

  • G.O.D. .... I just don't like the blue colour of his guitar .. :P ... but the music .. wow ..

I think this is the best performance of "Crossroads" ever ... !!!!

  • Nice !
